Transport yourself into a magical fairytale and prepare for an unforgettable experience. For our savory menu, we offer a lunch and dinner featuring some traditional dishes as well as our signature quiche and chicken salade. Our menu changes seasonally and everything on our menu is house made from scratch daily with our commitment to the highest quality and ingredients. Our full bar offers signature cocktails, Champagne and beer. Delicious three-layer cakes, as well as cheesecakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts fill our elegantly designed display case and are served daily. Gwendolyn's Cake Bake Shop's have become the destination of Indianapolis for celebrating all life's special occasions.

    Great service and atmosphere for my granddaughter’s 10th birthday. It was very noisy and hard to talk but we would still go back.

    They brought out meals out before the apps. We ordered 5 appetizers. They did offer to bring them out and comp them which was nice, it just put the flow of a nice meal off and made our time there longer. Food was great- but when the bills came only some of the apps had been comped. Server was apologetic, so not a huge deal. We eat at Cake Bake several times a year but it may have put off a new customer .

    We were there for our daughter’s golden birthday and they treated her so well. The food was great and the service was amazing! The atmosphere is incredible and so well done down to even the smallest detail.

    Not only did the server forget about us twice, and a second waitress had to provide us boxes. Then he actually forgot that I paid him, and then asked me as we were packing up if I would pay him. Annoying use of “we,” like the waiter was with our group. “How are ‘we’ going to pay? Have ‘we’ been here before? How do ‘we’ like the food?

    The service was slow - to be expected for a 5:30PM time slot on Saturday. We left the restaurant at 7:45PM. There was only 5 of us there. We celebrated my mom’s birthday and they do a cute little birthday candle in some vanilla ice cream. They also sprinkle fairy dust on you or over the cake, which is a cute touch. The food was okay for the price. The atmosphere was adorable but we were sat on the “patio” area. It got very loud in there when the tables started to fill up. We celebrated my mom’s birthday last night with you guys and she got gumbo poutine. When the server came around to start boxing items up, my mom disclosed that she didn’t like the food - as evidenced by her not eating any of it. The server responded with “I’m sorry, it doesn’t travel well either.” So she did not box it up or take it home. Instead of taking that off of the bill we were charged fully for it - even though she didn’t eat it or like it. Kind of disappointing.

    Beth was an amazing, attentive informative server! We loved our experience! Cake was all delicious, drink recommendations were spot on and Beth was super attentive with our 3 & 6-year old guests! Decor was stunning!

    Such an amazing place to be-once you hit the door, you can’t help yourself, because you just keep smiling. The staff is kind, music is great, decor is top notch, and it feels like an injection of optimism. Highly recommend for people who love holidays, sweet treats, and tasty food. I haven’t gotten a thing yet that tastes mediocre, and you must try the chicken velvet soup. (Also get the Petunia Punch!)
