Utterly disappointing experience. We had an Afternoon Tea voucher from Groupon. None of the staff could understand us. The table was dirty and there was no cutlery on the table. Food arrived and waitress just left before we had a change to ask for cutlery. No one checked up with us if the food was ok or if we needed more drinks.

Very disappointed. Booking was not acknowledged upon arrival. Half hour elapsed between getting tea served and receiving the afternoon tea food. Because of this and the fact they only supply one small pot of tea, we had drunk it by the time the food arrived but when you ask for more you are charged for it. We have never been charged for tea 'top-ups' at any other afternoon tea establishment. Very busy and therefore very noisy and even though a fair number of staff the service was terrible which resulted in a number of people walking out. In fact the staff tried to clear our plates before we had even started on our cakes.

Very cold so keep your coats on! The front door is constantly open. We thought we were going to experience a cosy afternoon tea but the upstairs room is closed. The waiter wanted to serve our Prosecco in red wine glasses and the Prosecco was not cold enough. Also it seems it doesn't matter if you book in advance or not as they never check your reservation and give you a random table (I booked twice recently). The food is really good though and staff friendly.

Extreme noise and all the tables are stuck together due to the lack of space. I am not a fan of Concerto, but I will not repeat the experience in this branch.

In spite of the beautiful chandeliers the restaurant could do with a makeover as it is looking a little tired. The staff lack enthusiasm and it was difficult to get their attention. The food was reasonable but the tea was weak and the one pot was not enough. When we asked for more all that was done was to put some hot water over the previous tea bag. Having been to Lakeside previously in 2023 this outlet does not compare and was particularly disappointing as it was for my Daughter's birthday.
