We draw our inspiration from all over the place, so rather than worrying about boxing ourselves in, we just have fun making delicious, craveable food with big flavors.

We have dined here several times before and keep coming back for good reason. The kids meal is a great value and an enormous amount of food to satisfy the pickiest eater. We appreciate the fresh fruit availability too! For the adults, many healthy options. This time around the meat was a little overcooked on both our plates, but the flavor, presentation, and the level of kindness & service offered by Francis far exceeded our expectations. I'm battling some extremely severe food intolerances right now, so eating out was expected to be off the table for me entirely. However, they were able to put something together that met all my restrictions and tasted great. Very thankful they were so accommodating at customizing a meal for me, enjoyed their great location, patio dining with a nice view of the Hot August Nights Car Parade, and we were all able to enjoy a family meal together. We will definitely be back!

Overalll, good experience at Cafe Whitney. Food was very good, but it was slow arriving our table after our order. Our waiter was excellence. We will go back!

This cafe is located inside the Hilton curio Whitney hotel across from the Eldorado Hotel downtown Reno . We’ve eaten there for breakfast and dinner and all of the meals were excellent . Shrimp and Grits were excellent, salmon dish my husband ordered was delicious . Breakfast burrito was over the top yummy. The bar has tv’s which is nice is you like to watch sports . Service was great too . Highly recommend cafe Whitney .

First time for dinner, after great experiences with breakfast & brunch, at Cafe Whitney. Moderately eclectic menu, great cocktails, excellent service and a fun venue vibe. We'll be back!

We went on on Mother’s Day and were extremely pleased with our dining experience. The varied menu providing outstanding options including shrimp & grits, cast iron New York, and soy chicken thighs. Each entry was prepared perfectly. Terrific specialty drinks and a full bar. Will definitely be back.

Maitre’d warned us that the service would be slow because they had several large parties so we weren’t surprised. He bought us drinks which was very kind. Considering the large number of large parties and the size of the wait staff the service was pretty good. The food was very good. The cocktail menu was very creative. I wish they had more comfortable chairs, they were metal and not comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised. The food was actually delicious. The atmosphere seems very low-key - nothing fancy. But the food seemed more thoughtful than we expected. And the service was cheerful and efficient. We had a really pleasant Easter brunch and we will be back.
