Plus qu'un restaurant, le Cafe Spice Namaste est une institution culinaire. Il s'agit d'un célèbre restaurant indien, sorte de monument gastronomique appartenant à Cyrus et Pervin Todiwala. Il se trouve à quelques pas de la Tour de Londres. Depuis plus de dix-sept ans, il accueille des personnes du monde entier qui viennent profiter de la cuisine délicieusement originale du chef Cyrus ainsi que de l'aimable et chaleureux service de ce petit local au cœur de la ville historique de Londres. COMING TO CAFÉ SPICE NAMASTÉ FROM GALLIONS REACH DLR STATION As you exit the station, turn left at Co-Op walk up to the traffic lights turn right on to Gallions Road. Turn left on to Wallis Walk and right on to Shackleton Way then immediate right towards car park on to Hudson Way. You will see a footbridge at the front. We are exactly across the bridge. The walk should take approximately 4-5 minutes. The Elizabeth Line is now open, making West London feel a lot closer to the Royal Docks. Getting off at Custom House and taking the DLR to Gallions Reach can take between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on where you board. If you’ve not been to Cafe Spice Namaste yet you are honestly missing out. I went for the first time for my Dad’s 60th yesterday and I couldn’t fault it. I don’t normally like indian food since i’m not good with spice, but there was something for everyone on the menu. The flavours were exquisite without the chilli being overbearing. Last year we went to an indian style curry michelin star restaurant and it didn’t come close to the quality and service we received at cafe spice. The staff are kind, and genuinely intent on sharing their cooking to please their customers. The ambience in the restaurant was friendly, lively but not loud with great acoustics. I know it’s situated right out East, but it’s worth the trip! Thank you cafe spice namaste!

As usual the food was delicious! The service was very friendly and the ambience was perfect for catching up with friends and family.

We were welcomed into the restaurant , which at 1 pm was empty (for the whole time we were there, there were only 2 other diners). The three of us had the tasting menu (£75 per person). We enjoyed the thick crisps with 4 home made dips and the first course of slices of duck on a bed of greenery and a sweet sauce. The next few courses were interesting but progressively more spicy hot. A large samosa had lots of tiny bits of green chilly in it and was so spicy hot that it burnt my tongue, which was still sore the next day. By this time we were full so couldn't do justice to the next dish of 3 types of meat. We skipped the next courses and went to the dessert. We should have checked how hot the food would be before we ordered. The cost of the wine was reasonable. The hot spiciness of some of the food detracted from what was otherwise a very enjoyable lunch.

I recently had a fantastic experience at Café Spice Namasté in East London! The staff was amazing—friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the menu and offer recommendations, and their pride in the food they were serving was evident. Chef Cyrus Todiwala's passion for traditional Indian cooking was on full display, with each dish bursting with flavor. Overall, I highly recommend Café Spice Namasté! The delicious food, sustainable sourcing, and exceptional staff made for a memorable dining experience. If you're looking for an incredible Indian restaurant in London that cares about the food they serve, Café Spice Namasté should be at the top of your list!

We made a long trek from Woking to East London and it was worth it. Service was attentive throughout. Food was in ‘small plates’ like Indian tapas perhaps?? And was superb: meat and fish dishes, and veggie dishes all carefully prepared and imaginatively presented. Beetroot and coconut samosas were so good we ordered them again! Apple crumble samosa for dessert was exquisite. Coffee was extremely smooth too but I really wanted a bigger cup!

Great food, beautiful location by the docks. The host Pervin and her husband Cyrus are extremely welcoming and friendly. Great place to enjoy a Saturday/ Sunday brunch with family and friends. Just a short 5 min walk from Galleons Reach DLR station. Easily accessible from central London via Elizabeth line to customs house excel. Will definitely visit again soon! Great Value for Money

The best Indian I ever been too. Food world class, staff and service exceptional and if you want proper indian food then don't bother looking elsewhere. Great place for family, couples and friends to enjoy the best food which is cooked exceptionally by the best indian chef!!! Best place to have party or to have them cater for any events!

We were unsure as to what of the many dishes we would try. Especially as we are not local to the restaurant, returning will not be as often as we would like We decided on the taster menu to sample different flavours. We were not disappointed in any way.

Incredible food, incredible location and incredibly friendly and accommodating hosts. I can't count the number of times I've been back, the food is always incredible (saying this as a parsee). Cyrus and Pervin are always so friendly - they make you feel as if you were at home among family. I'd recommend the whole menu - our favourites were the beetroot and coconut samosa chaat and the lamb dhansaak.
