Café Sbisa, established in 1899 and the third oldest fine-dining establishment in the French Quarter, is proud to re-open under the direction of a new team to once again offer the highest quality French-Creole cuisine in a welcoming, historical setting that both locals and tourists will appreciate. Spearheading the new Café Sbisa are Mr. Craig Napoli, who successfully ran the notable restaurant from 1992 - 2005 when Hurricane Katrina devastated the city, and Chef Alfred Singleton, who met Craig when he started working for him at the former Café Sbisa as a prep cook.

Now, the unique venue will once again open its doors to serve classic local fare like Turtle Soup, Louisiana Blue Crab Cakes and BBQ Shrimp using the freshest, locally-sourced seafood and produce. While many restaurants tout “fresh and local”, Sbisa means it, as the Napoli family owns their own seafood dock and distribution business in Hopedale, Louisiana.

We had a great experience dining with Sbisa. The live band was awesome and they even sung happy birthday to my girlfriend.

Went to cafe last night. Great experience. Ambiance so cool. Like an old cafe. Almost elegant. Jimmy, our waiter was great. Full of stories about the restaurant, its history and background. Also Funny guy. After dinner, gave us recommendations for local jazz clubs. Service itself was perfect. Food was very good. Turtle soup, was flavorful, if a bit more spicy than I am used to from Philadelphia. I had the redfish, and it was spectacular. My wife had their oysters and they were truly excellent. My son had the fish stew, also great. For dessert, we had the banana bread, pudding, excellent. It was a terrific dining experience, certainly recommend highly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Sunday jazz brunch. We were offered an excellent table where we enjoyed attentive service and delicious food. The jazz band added the perfect touch for a New Orleans feel!

The Oysters Sbisa were the perfect start. First time EVER that I didn't add hot sauce to Oysters, they were that perfect.

Very enjoyable dining experience! Nice ambiance and even better food. My lady and I started with the oysters Sbisa, which were perfectly seasoned and fried. She had the blackened redfish, very nice presentation and delicious. I had the prime pork chop, a large cut cooked perfectly through but still tender. We also enjoyed the live band which added to the atmosphere and experience. Would highly recommend Cafe Sbisa!

Noise level was a little higher than the normal ambiance because they had a drag queen dinner performance that night. It turned out to be fun!

The live band was so nice alongside the delicious food! We had the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, and the bananas foster in the brunch menu! Can’t wait to go back!

Our brunch was amazing! The Eugene Omelet is something everyone needs to try! Our waiter Marcus took excellent care of us. The Sunday morning band was a great reminder of what’s special in New Orleans.
