Service was prompt and helpful. We ordered a few drinks and 2 appetizers. I highly recommend the calamari. Drinks were cold and delicious. Our food was a little slow to come out and they didn't have what my sister ordered. They gave her another meal and comped her bill. The porkchop was phenomenal. The steak was good, but not the best I've ever had. Overall, the experience was "okay". May try again another time before writing it off.

Great food and service. Downside is the expense. Twice as expensive as other comparable restaurants in the area. We enjoy it and will be back, but the price certainly limits our visits. $225 for two is tough to do very often.

Not a good experience. Waiter was nice but restaurant ran out of the choices that we ordered. However, the manager was kind enough to compensate us for our disappointment.

As always our meals were prepared to our liking and delicious. Service was impeccable (Holden was our server), we had an opportunity to chat with the Manager Brooke as she made rounds to table and greeted guest. Classic move ! We enjoyed our Cafe Rule experience.

Food was cold. Not the quality we have grown to expect. Feel that that the menu items lacked value and did not meet the standards reflected by the cost. The % added for using my debit card was inappropriate for a restaurant of this standing. Dinner for 2 was $280.00. Dinned on enclosed patio. Another group of guests were so loud throughout our meal that we were unable to relax. We did not finish out coffee due to their excessive rudeness. Management took no action. Was my favorite special place. Will not return.

We had dinner at Cafe Rule and it was the worst food we have ever had in Hickory. I ordered the grilled chicken and it was so tough I had to send it back. My husband ordered a hamburger well-done, but it was barely cooked medium. We have eaten at Cafe Rule before and thought the food was good, so I'm not sure if this was just an off night or what was going on. But we won't be going back anytime soon.

This used to be one of our favorite places to dine in Hickory. It’s a nice place and the service has always been good. Our last visit (prior to this one) had a few bumps, so to speak, but they were redeemed which included a coupon for a discount on a future visit. This was our future visit, and I have become progressively less impressed with each visit lately, mainly because of menu changes and the overall value being somewhat poor. Obviously, I only have the perspective of the consumer and understand changes to menus are likely business driven, but I worry some of the best menu items are being eliminated. Also, charging $55 for a ribeye is basically Ruth’s Chris territory, and the ribeye I’ve gotten here is levels below what is offered at Ruth’s Chris or any other restaurant I’ve eaten in that price range.

Sophia our waitress was most hospitable, and helpful. Our food allergy was promptly addressed. She checked on us throughout the meal. Brussel Sprouts, Corn caramelized dish and lobster tails with truffle foam butter and roasted lemon were delightful. Highly recommend.

We went for our anniversary dinner. The food, ambiance, and the serve were outstanding. I would definitely recommend and will be back the next time I am in Hickory.

We had the prix fix Queens Feast menu. The crab cakes and onion rings as appetizers were delicious, especially the Chow Chow sauce for the rings. For the entree, we had meatloaf and mashed potatoes, and steak frites. The sauces were great on both of the meats. The only negative was that we ordered the steak medium and it came out rare. The desserts were fabulous as well. Emma was a great server also.
