Café Momentum is more than just a restaurant—it’s a nonprofit culinary training program transforming the lives of justice-impacted youth. Our locally sourced, chef-driven menu provides the backdrop for hands-on learning, where young people rotate through every aspect of the restaurant, from front-of-house service to kitchen prep, all under the guidance of award- winning Chef Robert "RC" Carter.

Don't miss our signature smoked fried chicken, served with mashed potatoes, collard greens, a southern buttermilk biscuit, and black pepper gravy. Plus, we’re BYOB! Enjoy your favorite beverage with dinner for a $5 per person corkage fee.

Great service and atmosphere. Food was fantastic! Had the momentum salad with steak. Cooked perfectly and so flavorful. Will be back soon!!

The food was outstanding! We especially recommend the salmon, short rib, and Mac n cheese. Everything we ordered was a hit. There is a really nice ambience and the staff is friendly. Will definitely be returning.

My second time and the food was phenomenal both times. Service varies based on the intern's experience but pleasant and helpful.

We arrived for our reservation after having received several reminders from Open Table, to find it had closed Communication between open Table and the restaurants it lists clearly needs improvement

We had a 5:00 reservation and the restaurant had just opened. We had the goat cheese and mushroom appetizer, strip steak and salmon. Everything was wonderful. Restaurant is byob and if you forget there is a state store a 2 minute walk away. Very nice experience and would definitely go back.

This is our fourth time dining at Cafe Momento. The food is delicious and presented in an eye appealing manner. The service is friendly and efficient. We also love the mission of the cafe.
