Join us as we participate in CVILLE Weekly's Summer Restaurant Week from July 15th to 21st! A portion of proceeds from every meal sold will go to support the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. We will be offering a three-course menu priced at $45 per person. Our standard a la carte dinner menu will not be available during this time. **We can generally accommodate all allergies and dietary restrictions as long as we know in advance, so please include that information in your reservation notes.

Service was stretched. But it was a concert night and very busy Downton. And also 100 degrees outside and our server had tables inside and out. Given all that I can understand servers being overwhelmed. Food was great. Reasonably priced prix fixe menu - I had the Pompano which was delicious. Martini glasses oddly seem to get tinier each visit. But was mixed and presented well. Nice selection of wine by the glass.

This little european bistro on the Charlottesville Mall is a treat. Great decor and ambiance. Solid wine selection. Cassie provided exceptional service that was both knowledgeable and courteous. We each had appetizers, onion soup and halloumi cheese followed by the steak frites. Everything exceeded expectation.

The food and service at Cafe Frank is outstanding. Dillon was our server and we will definitely request him if we get back for another visit. We had delicious cocktails, and then a fabulous meal. My only small complaint is that the music was a bit loud for our taste. Cafe Frank is a beautiful setting and experience! Highly recommend!!

Great dinner date with my wife last night at Cafe Frank. She had a margarita and I just a beer. I ordered the three course special: onion soup, lovely pompano, and coconut custard flan with strawberry sauce. We shared the nicely fried seafood platter and a green salad. Excellent service.

Great for a small birthday dinner - sommelier and waiter were excellent, food was great (frito misto, lamb confit, scallops) and dessert and drinks were all very well done. Dillon made us feel very at home.

We had an excellent dinner at Cafe Frank. The wait staff were well trained and professional. The bartender created very nice cocktails. It’s a small intimate restaurant. The food was expertly prepared and presented to our table. I recommend the bison Bolognese and duck confit dishes.

Third time eating here while visiting C-ville. Our server Cassie was amazing! Food and drinks were perfect as always, too!

Please, run, do not walk, to Café Frank, and do so if and only if you are ready to enjoy a cut well above the typical high-end, expertly-prepared meal. The last time I dined anywhere near this quality was in Paris, where I lived for over a decade. I arrived ready to content myself with salad, wine, and dessert after a hectic day. The delicate white anchovies in my generous Cesar salad, paired with a lovely Sauvignon blanc, seduced me into ordering the seared rock fish with a lovely, vibrant carrot puree. I was not disappointed. Truly exquisite. To my continued surprise, the chilled vanilla-bean panna cotta further raised the bar, followed by a short espresso with lemon zest. I haven't had a cognac in years, but finishing this meal largely merited one, which allowed me to prolong the dining experience for another half hour in the golden sun of evening. Excellent, authentic, and discreet down-to-earth service. Thank you Dylan, Delaney, and Kate. Such a treat. My new favorite table. 💛
