Cafe Farina - casual old-school vintage vibe, serving up authentic Italian-American specialties and classic cocktails shaking to the beat of Italian music streaming through the restaurant. Small place that doesn't look like much from the outside. The food is excellent. Seasoned to perfection and prepared well. Their Italian sausage is exceptional! We've eaten her twice now and each time they more than impressed us. I've not been to Italy but pretty sure I wouldn't get better tasting food than right here at Cafe Farina.

Calamari was fresh, Zsa Zsa salad was delicious and the white fish was amazing! Our server John was great!

Our server was training a new hire and she managed to meet our needs while also instructing him well. Our table was small and swarmed by 5 or 6 flies that kept flying into us which was disruptive but not enough to ruin the experience. We were on a time limit and the server responded quickly to that, which we really appreciated. The food was fantastic and presented nicely.

Food outstanding. two of us had Chicken Parmesan and a salad. One was Gluten free and both were delicious. The pasta olive oil /garlic is also a winner. We had our usual waitress who is always a delight.

Food was excellent and service very good. Our group had wine and cocktails before dinner. Bloody Mary was not good but the rest was fine. Venue is loud - tables small and close. Eggplant Parmesan was great; lasagna and Nana’s ravioli awesome! The bread (which is a separate item to order) was also delicious. Go for the food!

I never write reviews but knew I had to for this experience. My boyfriend and I had one of rhe BEST dinners of our life Sunday night before Memorial Day. We snagged a last minute 9pm reservation and were worried there was a mistake bc their website says they close at 9. We were told as long as we were in by 9, we were good. Our waitress was phenomal, wish we got her name (she had long brown-ish hair pulled back in a braid with a thick headband, young probably in college) She went above and beyond in every regard. Farina's other location, the supper club, just had a kitchen fire and all reservations were being pushed to the cafe location. The staff from the supper club were also sent over to help manage the influx of customers. Mind you it was also Memorial Day Weekend. All our prayers to the supper club and their staff🙏Our waitress was on her 7th double in a row. We ordered the pizza bread as an appetizer. It came out at the same time as our meal, but we were quickly informed the first batch was accidentally burned and they had already comped it for us. The PIZZA BREAD was too die for. I would typcially add pepperoni but we left it off and it didn't even need it! We always split and decided on the BRAISED BRISKET TORTELLINI and the CHICAGO STYLE ITALIAN BEEF ** add cheese and all the peppers - hot & sweet plus Farina's Giardiniera is a MUST! I'm not kidding one of the best dinners I've ever had. We dipped the pizza bread in the vodka sauce from the pasta which was amazing. The Italian beef was perfect Chicago style and the giardiniera was superb. The tortellini was probably one of the best pasta dishes of my whole life - death row last meal level good. Also, hats off to the bartenders. Had 2 of the best espresso martinis ever. Just when we thought dinner couldn't get any better, we tried the gelato - chocolate and salted caramel. Absolutely unreal and delicious. We will be back again and again - thank you!!!

Both Farinas are the favorite restaurants in our area. We are travelers and it is our considered and expert opinion that that the red sauce just might be the best that there is Overall, we have never had anything but superb food and service The restaurants greatly improve our life in New Buffalo. If you haven’t been there yet ✅ please do so ASA you can There is NOT a better place to dine in the entire area
