Just 15 minutes north of Boston, Cafe Escadrille is a landmark restaurant and neighborhood gem known for its great food, drink, and service. The restaurant offers classic and new American dishes in a lively atmosphere. During the warmer months, you can enjoy cocktails or dine on our outdoor Patio. The Famous Mahogany Bar is one of the few places in the Burlington area serving food late night. If you are looking for a venue for a private event, business event, or wedding reception, look no further than Café Escadrille. We offer a venue for special events that include full menus, cocktail service, and selections from the restaurant’s extensive wine list, as well as sweet creations from our own in-house pastry chef. Attended The Mothers Day Buffet 2024. Sampled most of the buffet selection presented. Is it me of am I a bit odd. Do not read on if you are looking for an outstanding review and stop here. The signature entrees off the menu included Roasted Turkey, Salmon, Baked Stuff Shrimp....The Turkey is nothing that you would expect. The best way to describe it is something out of Market Basket where they take a hunk of Turkey that they slice under a warming light - The same they use to make deli sandwiches. Guests beware it's not a traditional Roasted Turkey that you expect to have. There was no dark meat or white meat, it was just a chunky piece of Turkey Roll. The Baked Stuffed Shrimp with Crab meat stuffing. What I ate I never tasted any crabmeat. I was shocked to see the Shrimp come out of the Kitchen in a nice pan neatly presented. They all looked to be a mass produced commercial package of frozen baked stuffed shrimp pre prepared. I can take Shrimp out of a box and warm them up, I expected different with the high standards of the Cafe. One would ask, does anyone take ownership from the kitchen to taste these commercially frozen products that are being served. Needless to say don't expect to see or taste any crabmeat but a frozen concoction heated and set up to be distributed in high quantities off the buffet. Same with the Salmon. Each piece was precisely weighed and cut all the same size...like a board of checkers. Another buffet display of just taking a mass commercially produced frozen product out of the box and preheating. The Desert Table. Another disappointing display. I hardly believe many of the deserts from the cakes to the cookies were baked at the Cafe. I sampled many and they many tasted like a commercial baked product. This was my first buffet at Cafe Escadrille. I would not recommend attending the Buffet until they start preparing many of the items fresh and move away from Frozen Commercially prepared Entries and Desert items.

I had the pleasure of dining at the Cafe Escadrille on Thanksgiving Day. We had a 4:00 reservation and I was a bit concerned because it was the last seating of the day. I should have known better. Everything was outstanding!! The Buffet had everything you could ever want and more. Everything was cooked to perfection and served by the most pleasant waiters. I should mention the dessert table as it was exceptional as well. All of the desserts were made on site by desert chefs and they couldn’t have been nicer as well. Our table waitress was super nice and explained how everything worked once we were seated. I have never had a bad meal at the Escadrille and have been a patron for 25 years or more. I will definitely be back for the Buffet. Sincerely Denise Traynor

We had been disappointed two years ago, post pandemic ,with our Thanksgiving experience here but decided to try it again because the current lunches are so good and we come regularly for those. When we arrived at our appointed time the staff were readying our table in the ballroom, so we ordered a drink at the small bar set up before a fireplace, and relaxed on the couch...wonderful so far...When our name was called we were seated, and invited to join the buffet line. The first items were well cooked baby carrots, peas and onions, stuffing, sweet potatoes and delicious mashed turnips.The meats were really moist turkey, very tender roast beef and ham(which I didn't try)and sliced in whatever quantity the diner requested. My companion, a vegetarian, found his match with delicious glazed salmon and gigantic stuffed shrimp.There was a small salad bar at the end with a good caesar salad bowl and some other greens as well. the dressings were delicious. We wondered why the salad was at the end? After eating, we were directed to the dessert room...Oh, my...so many absolutely amazing high quality desserts...also great coffee...Our waitress worked REALLY hard to help everyone have a great Thanksgiving experience. Once again, the Escadrille did not disappoint. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meals, appetizers, or cocktails. The staff is always friendly and very attentive.

The food was excellent! However, for the price we paid, we expected a little bit more. For example, we thought there would b be appetizers, cheese, and crackers, something besides dinner. We also felt that soft drinks should’ve been included in the price. Again an excellent meal, but quite expensive for a turkey dinner.

Mother’s day buffet was the best! Our family, 12 people, were all delighted. The food quality was excellent. Our server came back a billion times to check on us. We will be back again.
