With roots tracing back to the 1970s, The Chalkboard brings its modern bistro-style concept to Oklahoma City, offering American fare and artisanal cocktails. Don't miss the chance to savor our legendary Beef Wellington, prepared according to the original recipe that has stood the test of time.

I was looking for a “cozy and quiet” restaurant for date night and found it at Chalkboard! Our server was great and the food was delicious. I love the low ceilings and soft booth seats that absorb the noise. The decor is dark and classy which gives it an upscale yet cozy feel. Will definitely be back.

Service was good. Food was excellent. The shrimp cocktail appetizer was very tasty, and the halibut was delicious.

This intimate fine dining experience was wonderful. Great service and great food. We tried a little bit of everything between the four of us. Our favorites were the Beef Wellington and the Short Ribs. Especially good was the Potato Gnocchi. The Spinach Artichoke Dip had a smoky flavor and was very good. All the desserts were wonderful, but the favorite was the bread pudding and sticky toffee pudding. The atmosphere was nice and intimate. We would highly recommend!

Nice cocktails and excellent food. The Beef Wellington was perfectly prepared and delicious. The halibut was delicious but slightly overcooked. Overall a very enjoyable experience.

It was delightful to have Beef Wellington Bites for an appetizer, and they were delicious. Fried green tomatoes were good, too. The Cauliflower Harissa had just the right amount of spicy heat and plenty of farro. The green beans on the Cauliflower Harissa were cooked perfectly. The halibut was cooked well, but lacked flavor; however, it was served on a yummy bed of lentils, I think. The creamy orzo served on the side of the halibut was rich and flavorful. Last, but not least, the chocolate cake was divine. I wish they would figure out how to serve a dessert souffle. Our server was Dylan. He was well-informed regarding the menu items and guided our choices wisely. I recommend that you ask to sit in Dyaln's station.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Food and our waiter were great. Only negative thing was at the end of our meal. The manager came to both our table and one next to us to essentially tell us to hurry up. They had people waiting for our tables. We literally had just received our bill and were trying to pay. It was very off putting and put a damper on what was a nice evening. She did the same thing to the table next to us. We were celebrating our anniversary and so was the couple next to us. Not something a manager should say especially when we did not overstay and paid over $200 on our meal. Not sure we will go back.
