Cafe Cortina, located on the former site of an apple orchard in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has been in existence since 1976 and earned a following among food lovers for its authentic Italian atmosphere and cuisine.

Fresh pastas, gnocchi, ravioli and lasagnas are made from scratch in house daily, and many ingredients are sourced from their on premise garden located behind the restaurant. Meals likely to catch your attention include the vitello paillard, which includes bone-in veal and the tower of layered spinach lasagna.

Fireside seating is available in the main dining room as well as on the outdoor patio. Perfect for dates, special occasions, or just a casual meal with friends and family.

I was there for a business meeting and none of us had been there before. All of us had nothing but praise to say about Cafe Cortina. The fish special was a dover sole, pan seared with a butter, lemon, garlic and white wine sauce. Sides of sauteed spinach and roasted potatoes. The Sole was perfectly cooked and the sauce was light and complimented well. Here's my one complaint, the roasted potatoes needed some some more seasoning. They were "fine" but considering how good everything else was, they stood out. We got the polenta with mushrooms and the grilled octopus for appetizers, both of them were "WOW!". If I had to choose one of those, it would be the octopus because they had this lovely hint of heat that just hit me perfectly. We shared a bottle of Primitivo that was amazing. 2018 Primitivo Di Manduria. If you're lucky enough to find this bottle, buy it! The place was mostly full, considering it was a Wednesday night. I will definitely return and I will tell all my friends and family about this place.

what a treat to have so many choices of entrees that I would enjoy. Really one of the best restaurants in Michigan! And the service is second to none!!! Every thing was delicious!

As always, an incredible meal and experience! We celebrated my grandpa’s 96th birthday and the service was impeccable and so much special attention was paid to him on his special day! The food is always perfect and when possible, they do what they can to customize dishes and get us whatever we are in the mood for! This place is quickly transitioning from “special occasion splurge” to “just because it’s worth it”. We are so happy to live close enough to dine here on a whim or make special plans and we cannot wait to be back! And for those who know the struggle, my Diet Coke was NEVER not full! Huge perk when dining out!!

Cafe Cortina is consistently world class. The service is superior. The sommelier is so knowledgeable. The menu is so diverse and many options catering to the plant based community. The food looks and tastes amazing. I will be back in 4 days to enjoy again! Bravo

I had a dinner with family to celebrate my wife’s 50th birthday. We were blessed with perfect weather and opted for outdoor seating. The seating area was gorgeous and romantic as well as spacious. The staff were incredible as always. My wife said this was the best birthday ever. Last but not least, the food was impeccable, delicious, plated with precision and perfection and served promptly and professionally making each member of my family feel special. Thank you!
