Café Cortina, nestled on the charming site of a former apple orchard in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has been delighting food lovers since 1976. Known for its authentic Italian atmosphere and cuisine, the restaurant features fresh pastas, gnocchi, ravioli, and lasagnas made from scratch daily. Many ingredients are sourced from our on-premise garden, ensuring the freshest flavors in every dish.     Everything was wonderful except there was a family of about 15 sitting next to us with 3 crying babies for most of our dinner. We had someone with hearing aids and almost couldn't stand the noise.

    As always, a fantastic experience at Cafe Cortina, our host Mohammed, went a above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we were seated in a great and comfortable location!

    We go to Cafe Cortina whenever we have a special celebration. The prices are high, but you get what you pay for. Not only is the food absolutely incredible, the service is wonderful, and the portions are generous enough to take leftovers home. Highly recommend.

    The food was excellent and our server was wonderful. I don't remember his name. He had a bow tie on and said he had owned a restaurant in Chicago.

    This was not our first visit to Cafe Cortina. The service was wonderful and the food was amazing. The grilled shrimp appetizer was outstanding!

    I’m a long time guest. I typically enjoy dining at cafe cortina. But this past visit was a little different. I requested a fire pit table well in advance but they had already occupied the tables with other parties. The noise level was extremely loud. Wedding party playing boom boom music plus a private party in other rooms. This was combined with a full house in the dining room. Service was good. Not as good as past experiences. Took a long time to get apps and salads. The staff were swamped with the wedding party and the dining room. You could see it. We were seated at a very undesirable area in corner and the noise was so loud that my voice was sore after yelling so much. I got scallop app and braised beef pillows (relatively small portion for main course) and both were very very salty. And I love salt. Spouse got vegetarian lasagna and it was excellent. Not too salty. $22 beefeater martini which was a little pricey. Mohamad our host was extremely pleasant and helpful and offered to move us to a better area but we were already settled at our current location. I think the lesson learned here is to call ahead and find out how full the restaurant will be with the dining room and private parties, and simply avoid a reservation during those days and times. It kind of tarnished our expectations. We will be back. Just know better now when to avoid a visit.

    Service was excellent. If I had to find any fault, much time from the end of dessert to the presentation of the check. Credit card mixup at the end. Overall, an enjoyable experience.
