Cafe Cortina, located on the former site of an apple orchard in Farmington Hills, Michigan, has been in existence since 1976 and earned a following among food lovers for its authentic Italian atmosphere and cuisine.

Fresh pastas, gnocchi, ravioli and lasagnas are made from scratch in house daily, and many ingredients are sourced from their on premise garden located behind the restaurant. Meals likely to catch your attention include the vitello paillard, which includes bone-in veal and the tower of layered spinach lasagna.

Fireside seating is available in the main dining room as well as on the outdoor patio. Perfect for dates, special occasions, or just a casual meal with friends and family.

The menu is varied and very creative. Chef Ernesto is a class act. Food/ dessert were outstanding. wine list was excellent including all price points and the service was spot on . Grace did a great job … Larissa Manuel , Paul etc two thumbs up

Very comfortable atmosphere. Excellent service. Food overall was very good: Scallops appetizer was outstanding. Grilled octopus was a little tough, needed to be poached longer before grilling. House salad was great. Polenta appetizer was OK.

Sadly, disappointed. Best of the meal - a shared house special calamari and a dinner pasta course for each of us - was the house salad. Least was the service.

Although this amazing restaurant has been around for a long time, I must say that in today’s world, (with Detroit booming and other suburban restaurants thriving) it is a hidden gem! Food is outstanding as is the hard working staff. We had an unbelievably great experience in every way. Thank you!

Café Cortina is our favorite place for special occasions like our wedding anniversary, birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day. The atmosphere is romantic by the fireplace and the staff makes us feel special. The dinners is always outstanding and the choices are too many since we love them all. The wine steward helps us pick just the right wine to go with dinner. And the white anchovies in the Caesar salad is my favorite. The 16-layer chocolate crepes dessert is too die for and even the coffee is the best I've had at a restaurant. We have sent many friends here and none are disappointed. We give gift cards for wedding gifts and we always hear back how special it was. A little pricey, but worth every penny for that special occasion.

We celebrated our friend’s birthday and he was very impressed with the restaurant. He is Italian and very particular about Italian cuisine. He indicated his meal was one of the best!
