Café Continental, in Manhasset, crafts sumptuous Mediterranean-inspired cuisine with a nod to classic style in its warm and relaxing restaurant. The stuffed artichoke with breadcrumbs and lemon butter sauce and the Littleneck clams on the half shell make most welcoming starters. Some of Café Continental's specialty entrée dishes include the chicken Continental stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella in a burgundy sauce, the crab stuffed shrimp and scallops with lemon butter and white wine and the filet mignon Rossini. Hand-made pastas like the fiore ragu flower-shaped pasta in a meaty veal sauce, the vegetarian spinach ravioli in tomato basil sauce and the paglia e fieno green and white spaghetti with pancetta and peas in a gravy sauce are some of guests' favorite plates.Café Continental also offers on and off-site catering, so you can enjoy its delicious dishes at any special function you host.

We didn’t not expect the noise level to be unbearable!!! Even though the food was really good, the service to be really good,we will not go back. Sorry to be writing this but it was one of the worse noise level I have encountered in a long time

Wow! Just wow! We were in Long Island for a memorial and chose this restaurant for dinner on the way home based on location and the menu. We were thrilled with the exceptional service and delicious food! Everything was done to perfection and our server, Robert, was phenomenal. There were six in our party and everyone was in agreement that this was a great choice.

Always feels like home. The staff is exceptional and extremely attentive especially Robert, Cheech, Jose and the owner James. They serve the best drinks & very fine food with wonderful specials. It is definitely one of the finest L.I. restaurants that should not be missed.

This was my first dining experience at Cafe Continental and it did not disappoint. The service was impeccable and the food amazing. I had the halibut which was a special and it was delish. Just the right amount of seasoning definitely going back.
