Service and server were excellent. Surprised when our salads were cleared away the busser left our used forks and knives on the bare table. Caesar has changed and is not as good as before. Sea bass was just ok however the chicken was excellent as was the corn soup.

Loved the beet salad appetizer and the sea bass entree which was fresh from the pan when served! Also enjoyed the pot de creme, which wasn’t overly heavy like it can sometimes be. Service was excellent although perhaps not as quick as needed given the table time limit. Only drawback: the strict 1 hour 45 minute table policy, which cut short our conversation after dinner.

Colline provided its normal great food and attentive service. The chicken liver mousse was classic, as was the honeyed chevre. For mains it was mussels in a fennel broth, wife described as great, and a confit of duck leg with a reduced cherry sauce. The latter was just superb, not too sweet, just right. Scrumptious. Wine list is mainly French as befits the cuisine, would like to see more Rhone-ish options as the cote-du-Rhone by the class was a little light. Maybe a Vacqyeras, or a Languedoc grenache syrah, just saying. Oh, and the Vouvray bubbly was sharp and delish with the apps. All in a casual friendly atmosphere.

What a delightful dining experience! My wife and I had enjoyed carryout burgers from Cafe Colline but had never sat down for a meal there. We ate dinner early on a Monday night, but the place filled up fast with happy diners. Every single item we ordered was excellent from our (3!) appetizers (smoked trout, beet salad and summer corn/melon cold soup) to the special summer pesto pasta and sea bass to our desserts of chocolate hazelnut custard and vanilla rice pudding. Our glasses of white wine were cold and went well with the meal. They even brought us two glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Yes, we splurged but it was worth it. We wouldn't change a thing and will certainly be back. It's a foodie haven in the north Arlington neighborhood.

This is our go-to spot for a nice dinner. The steak frites is a real strip steak that is twice as good as Capital Grille for half the cost. The potato crusted salmon is consistently delicious. The service is always friendly but professional.

Cafe Colline is a GEM! Amazing food, service, drink menu, ambiance…highly, highly recommend for anybody looking for a great little restaurant in the McLean/Arlington/Falls Church neighborhood!

This is a lovely, quiet neighborhood gem. My asparagus appetizer was nicely sauced but the asparagus was a touch overcooked. My guest had the house salad which was a generous serving and nicely dressed. My guest and I shared a burger which was properly cooked and tasty - not oversized but plenty for two at lunch. The fries are delicious and perfectly cooked. We were celebrating a birthday and our server treated the occasion nicely and with excellent customer service.
