This was a special New Years event with a $450 up charge just to get a table. The chef prepared a special menu for the event. My date and I were not really familiar with many of the dishes so we each ordered a different one, on all of the different courses that night. The waiter could not really give us much detail- I understand as it was a new, one night only menu. Half the food was outstanding the other half not too good. With parking and tip, I believe I was at about $880 and that was with no drinks. The entertainment was a female vocalist with a few band mates on Piano and other band instruments. They musicians were really good, the vocalist not so much but she tried her best! In between live music they did have background music on but it was blasting pretty loud and made conversation at a small table for two very, very challenging. We were never offered the usual selection of breads that I really have come to like at this fine restaurant. I think it being so crowded, being a new menu and being New Years they did their best but the value for what I got and what I paid was not the usual I have come to expect. I will be back again but not for New Years.

We were there for New Year’s Eve dinner at 5:45 celebrating a bday. Our order was taken at 6:15 and hardly had water refilled. We had to signal another waiter for water and for salt and for wine menu. We started to eat our dinner and the waiter brought out dessert with a sparkler - we were confused… I didn’t know if he was trying to rush us out or if he made a mistake. The check said 20% gratuity for large parties. It was just two of us. What if the waiter did not deserve 20%…

Eaten here many times. Food is usually first rate. New Year’s Eve dinner, $200 per person. Portion size was small. Soup not hot, steak was well done and ordered medium. Place was full. Service was slow. For our money was not a good meal. 20% gratuity was added for spotty service. Normally first rate restaurant, but today was quite dissatisfying.

Everything from the ambiance, to the service, down to the food was fantastic! They knew we were celebrating our anniversary and they even had a happy anniversary card waiting at the table for us and they accompanied it with a complimentary dessert. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return!

Cafe central is home to a great selection of wines, premium food selections, and some of the friendliest staff in town. The tenderloin melted in my mouth, the green chili soup was flavorful, and the atmosphere was amazing. Will definitely be returning soon.

The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Caprese salad and the beef tenderloin.. Perfecto! My friends both had the puntas de filete and a salad. They said it was fabulous. Our waiter was very efficient and helpful. The wine list was a little pricey but ithe wine was very good. The chocolate cake quite yummy and we started our evening at the bar with excellent dirty gin martinis. It was worth every bit of our eye opening bill.
