Café Britaly is a cheeky addition to Peckham's exciting food scene. Specialising in Britalian food made by ex-Bouchon Racine chef Alex Purdie, served in an informal airy mid-century café environment. Whilst the Britalian Carbonara with Cream, deep-fried Pizzetta Crunch, and 'superior-to-tiramisu' Zuppa Inglese trifle, have been shocking Italian Instagram there are many other classic dishes that focus on British-Italian provenance also. Situated on Rye Lane it is a centrally located Peckham restaurant, between the station and the Rye (Peckham Common).

Such a lovely little spot for a casual evening out, with food that is utterly gorgeous. Friendly people, lovely drinks. As a veggie my only sadness is that there isn’t fractionally more to choose from!!

Great quality, and entertaining take on Italian food. Service is fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is light and summery.

I loved the atmosphere. It was busy but not loud. The food was fab. We are the two pasta dishes. The carbonara and the pesto with walnuts. Delicious!

Delicious food - everything we had was excellent and the dishes that sound simple on the menu surprised us with just perfect flavours. Great value too.

The cooking here is outstanding, we had delicious roast porchetta with crunchy crackling and tasty stuffing and a beautiful monkfish tail. The home made focaccia is pillowy and oily and dangerously moreish with the whipped brown butter - or you dip it in yet more olive oil. Seating and tables are suitably caff-like and the atmosphere is jolly. Well done Alex and Richard!

What a great new place in SE London. Between the four of us we tried almost all the starters and there was not one weak dish between them all, the opposite in fact, every dish was tasty and fresh and every bite was appreciated. Favourites among a strong list were the nduja scotch egg and the pizetta. The mains were also fabulous, the carbonara and the milanese were great plates and the monkfish was delicious with a side salad. The puddings looked too good to pass up and as recommended by our helpful server we went for the very delicious arancini. The service was helpful and relaxed and knowledgeable and these chefs can really cook. We will definitely return ASAP.
