The Café Brio, located in Victoria, has been a local favorite for twenty six years, serving up a rustic, Italian inspired menu. Focusing on regional products, Café Brio led by multi awarded Chef Sam Harris selects the highest quality ingredients from local sources to be used in authentic, creative dishes.

At Café Brio, everything is prepared in house. Pasta favorites include gnocchi with roasted leeks, parmesan cream and basil purée, Spaghettini with tomato, garlic, basil, olive oil and parmigiano and also our wild mushroom risotto. From the Sea enjoy seared scallops with peroxides, delicata squash, carmelo and bacon anchovy vinaigrette or our local fish feature. Lastly the Parry Bay Lamb feature from our friends out in Metchosin is an absolute must.

The wine list is extensive with input from multiple Sommeliers on staff always excited to share their new favourite bottle in our unique and cozy dining room.

The food was amazing but beware a full order is still not a great deal of food. They had wonderful flavor combinations in their sauces. We would definitely go back on our next trip to Victoria!

Came here for my anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it! Right away the ambience was perfect, lots of beautiful art and perfect mood lighting. The service was great, staff were super kind and knowledgeable. The food was AMAZING!!! Can’t recommend the gnocchi carbonara enough. 10/10

Our first time in this restaurant certainly won’t be our last. It’s one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Victoria. Can’t believe we haven’t come here before considering we love Italian food. It would be good to have a couple more options on the menu but everything we had was delicious and the half plates are such a great idea as a way to taste everything. The chowder was spectacular! Service was great. The hostess offered to make a note of where we would like to sit next time. Wow!

The food is amazing with the ability to order 1/2 portions and share more dishes. The waitress listened and had the chef alter one course to order. We come here every time we’re in Victoria.

All around it was a wonderful experience with the ambiance, food and service! Under staff ownership now and they are maintaining the same customer appreciation in service.

An amazing night with Cafe Brio - comfortable, friendly, expert service and wine selection assistance (from Penny - truly the best there is). And the food - delicious! I mean, really, really great. The Rock Cod soup (as my starter in the special trio deal for $32) was out of this world. And the dessert (the mini creme brulee) was pure perfection. My only complaint was the size of the fish portion for the middle course - the piece of fish was two ounces maximum. That was a little disappointing but will not deter me from booking at Cafe Brio again - it really is an exceptional dining experience.
