The stylishly art deco Cafe Bar Concerto is situated within the grand surroundings of The Earl of Doncaster Hotel. With its glass paneled Cocktail Bar and sunburst glass chandeliers, the restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience.

Specialising in modern cuisine, the Cafe Bar Concerto offers Lunch, Dinner and Afternoon Tea alongside as well as an excellent drinks range including Lagers, Beers, Spirits, Wines, Champagne and Prosecco.

Throughout the day our television screens play a delightful variety of black and white movies from the traditional golden era of Hollywood, whilst soft swing music sets the atmosphere throughout the Restaurant. On select days we also host Cabaret evenings.

Had a truly lovely afternoon tea with family celebrating my wife’s birthday. Chose a mixture of sweet and savoury options which we all agreed struck the perfect balance. The food was plentiful and extremely tasty. The service was excellent and attentive. Highly recommend it.

We went here for my parents Diamond Wedding Anniversary. Everyone opted for Sunday lunch,which was excellent. I'm not fond of large portions,but this was good for me. The next table had fish and chips which also looked good. The staff are really friendly and service was very good. I was allowed to take the cake in the day before,and leave it..which was a good. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The hotel is very quirky with 1920's vibes. Check out the table on the ceiling.

Took a long time to be attended to and seated. Ended up having drinks in the bar whilst we waited. Table wasn’t set up. Apparently we’d been called re our booking to ascertain what we wanted, though I had explicitly booked 4 x Afternoon Tea. Our table wasn’t set up and other tables hadn’t been cleared away. It had clearly been busy. Our waiter went above and beyond but we waited at least 40 minutes for our food. The quality and selection of food was great though the vegetarian request comprised of one sandwich filling where previously there’d been 2/3. The waiter was as attentive as he could be given that there were so few staff available.

Beautiful smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for me , great value sandwich served with chips & salad for 4 of the party , and one had jacket potato with cheese & salad and it was one of the nicest she's had

Overpriced & Poor quality Sunday roast. 3 almost wafer thin slices of pre-cooked "roast Beef" which almost looked like processed meat, Burnt Yorkshire pudding, 3 tiny "roast" potatoes which were soggy and far from being roast potatoes. it was, quite probably the worst sunday roast, but at least it was edible. For £16.95, it was way overpriced and extremely disappointing. The server, was literally just that...a plate server. Had to wait a long time to call the server twice, as she seemed to only be focused on what she was doing, and if she disappeared into the kitchen. Summary: poor quality food, poor service, way, way, way overpriced.

The Afternoon Tea at the Earl of Doncaster is one of the best we have ever had. The savoury is a lovely option and we normally get one of each and share. We will look forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommended.
