The stylishly art deco Cafe Bar Concerto is situated within the grand surroundings of The Earl of Doncaster Hotel. With its glass paneled Cocktail Bar and sunburst glass chandeliers, the restaurant offers a truly unique dining experience.

Overpriced & Poor quality Sunday roast. 3 almost wafer thin slices of pre-cooked "roast Beef" which almost looked like processed meat, Burnt Yorkshire pudding, 3 tiny "roast" potatoes which were soggy and far from being roast potatoes. it was, quite probably the worst sunday roast, but at least it was edible. For £16.95, it was way overpriced and extremely disappointing. The server, was literally just that...a plate server. Had to wait a long time to call the server twice, as she seemed to only be focused on what she was doing, and if she disappeared into the kitchen. Summary: poor quality food, poor service, way, way, way overpriced.

The Afternoon Tea at the Earl of Doncaster is one of the best we have ever had. The savoury is a lovely option and we normally get one of each and share. We will look forward to visiting again soon. Highly recommended.

Excellent service today with very attentive staff! Food was plentiful with the sandwiches being of a particular good quality. Being the Earl of Doncaster, the ambiance didn't disappoint.

When we arrived at 8.00pm on a Friday evening it was clear that the restaurant was not very busy and once seated we soon found out why. The restaurant had a lot of staff missing and when we came to order our food we were informed that five or six main courses were not available which severely restricted our choice especially as there was not a specials board available. The quality of the food was not the good either. However the front of house staff were very good and tried to ensure we were happy with restaurant experience. We have been to this restaurant several times in recent years and therefore we were disappointed that our evening was not what we were expecting. Clearly they have issues at present and need to resolve them quickly before it gets any worse.

The overall experience was absolutely shocking the staff were running round like I’ve never seen , they tan out of food , ran out of food in the hotel restaurant i was stunned.

Booked in for Afternoon Tea on 14/8 for our anniversary at short notice - the dining room was very clean & tidy - couldn’t fault anything - food was prepared fresh, all looked good - nothing dry - service was excellent - Andy was was friendly, chatty, good sense of humour and very attentive throughout - top marks all round!! Thank you Cafe Bar Concerto!

Very bad service. Exceptionally slow and very unattentive Only two staff on who kept disappearing. Had to keep asking for drinks etc. and to clear the table. Food not good. Roast potatoes were all bad. The beef was paper thin and tasteless. The manager did agree with all my points and was quite pleasant. A total shame for such a lovely hotel.
