Cafe Azafran serves up an award-winning blend of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. Recently taking home the 2019 Top Chef of the Culinary Coast for the second year in a row was Café Azafran, their quality of food and freshness speaks for itself. Each dish from tapas to our large plates will leave you satisfied and looking forward to your next visit. Menu is subject to change at Chefs request! We have live entertainment every Thursday!!!!
Located on the ocean block of Baltimore Avenue, in downtown Rehoboth Beach, Cafe Azafran has a cozy dining area, with a spacious covered screened in back porch, in order to enjoy the ocean air while you eat fresh, delicious menu items.

We really enjoyed the tapas and the antipasto salad. We were seated in the middle room which was smaller than the front room so less noisy and cozier. The waitress was attentive and friendly. We found the tapa plates a good size for sharing among four people. We really loved the extra touches and presentation of each dish.

We’ve always considered Cafe Azafran a reasonably sophisticated option for both cuisine and ambiance. Tonight we were not disappointed by the food or service. The ambiance, however, was more Holiday Inn Lounge. We had an early reservation for two; so, accommodating us should not have been a huge challenge. Had the hostess simply said, “We’ll be having live music shortly, would you like to be seated nearby or elsewhere?” Instead, we were seated six feet from where a keyboard appeared and a “local talent” played and crooned musical cliches throughout most of our meal. A nearby table of four decided to sing along. It was torturous. Our quiet dinner was ruined.

It was my fourth time dining at Cafe Azafran, and I expect to go there on every trip to Rehoboth! The food is delicious and the service is excellent!
