Cafe Azafran serves up an award-winning blend of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. Recently taking home the 2019 Top Chef of the Culinary Coast for the second year in a row was Café Azafran, their quality of food and freshness speaks for itself. Each dish from tapas to our large plates will leave you satisfied and looking forward to your next visit. Menu is subject to change at Chefs request! We have live entertainment every Thursday!!!!
Located on the ocean block of Baltimore Avenue, in downtown Rehoboth Beach, Cafe Azafran has a cozy dining area, with a spacious covered screened in back porch, in order to enjoy the ocean air while you eat fresh, delicious menu items.

Never had a bad meal at Cafe Azafran! The location makes it convenient to so much happening in Rehoboth Beach, and the food is fresh and prepared so well.

The restaurant itself is very nice. Enjoyed the atmosphere. The appetizers were very good. The main course was plated very nicely. Our waiter seemed a bit condescending and irritated with us, but we don’t know why. He got better as the dinner went on and was attentive enough regardless. Sangria was delicious.

Comfortable seating with a number of options: table inside, bar or enclosed outside. There are options for eating also with a tapas menu and substantial entrees. The food is universally good. I would especially recommend the seafood terragona. This is billed as a bouillabaisse but the seasoning is much heartier than the French version so much so that I believe it would go with a red wine, certainly a pino noir but also possibly a cabernet sauvignon or a rioja. My wife had halibut which was also quite good. There was a spicy sauce on the side but I think this fish was excellent with a milder sauce. My encounter with the tapas plates in the past indicate that this is mostly an authentic Catalan cuisine. Service was first rate. During our visit the place was not noisy but it wasn't filled. I suspect that when filled it can be very loud. This is a small space inside.

Server was preoccupied throughout and not at all attentive. I don't know what his issue was. Usually tip at least 20%. Not this time. You don't reward negative behavior. Food was great and so was the entertainment, John and Holy.

Delicious, delicious, delicious. We had a delicious meal consisting of several tapas. The watermelon salad was out of this world. Our waiter was great.
