Cafe Azafran serves up an award-winning blend of Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine. Recently taking home the 2019 Top Chef of the Culinary Coast for the second year in a row was Café Azafran, their quality of food and freshness speaks for itself. Each dish from tapas to our large plates will leave you satisfied and looking forward to your next visit. Menu is subject to change at Chefs request! We have live entertainment every Thursday!!!!
Located on the ocean block of Baltimore Avenue, in downtown Rehoboth Beach, Cafe Azafran has a cozy dining area, with a spacious covered screened in back porch, in order to enjoy the ocean air while you eat fresh, delicious menu items.

Everything was fantastic. The tapas were delicious, presentation perfect and the outdoor area was cozy. Kudos to chef’s Richard and Ryan!!

We are regulars for a reason. Food drink service all excellent. Seafood Friday special is awesome-superb quality and generous portions make for a great value!

Food was excellent and the Friday Seafood special was a great value. Service was great and sitting in the back enclosed patio was perfect.

This is a great place except if you make a reservation on open table. The manager I spoke with last night said, "We don't read what you write in the comments." They ask if it's a special occasion, yes. What is the occasion, my Dad's birthday. Any special instructions, yes - we would like to sit at the bar because my Dad LOVES the bartender. We find out when we arrive, after our reservation has been confirmed for three weeks, that they are unable to accommodate us at the bar. The manager tried to make up for it by saying they would sing him happy birthday. I asked them to please not do that, but they did it anyway. I mentioned that he can't eat dessert, but a birthday martini would be great. And, we left without a birthday martini. It was $200 for four people who are modestly, so you judge the price. We enjoyed the bartender and the music which totally saved the night, because our server disappeared a great deal.

Hi Sandra, when you made the reservation on OpenTable the bar was not available. The bar has only 6 seats for which we allow to reserve unlike other restaurants. OpenTable gave you a table in the front dining room where the entertainment was and your friend Holly Lane was singing. We try to honor all requests, but sometimes we don’t always see the little text messages with reservations until it’s too late. Now for the birthday martini you had requested, check your receipt. Your father ordered 3 beefeater martinis for which 1 was given for free. We have a copy of your receipt if you would like to see it. Also your bill was $197 for 4 grown adults having steaks, entrees, cocktails, wine and free live entertainment , that seems reasonable to me.

Everything was wonderful we enjoyed our appetizers. we loved our steaks. They were prepared perfect temperature. The salads were so tasty and desserts were scrumptious. We love your restaurant and will definitely be back.

We had been wanting to try Cafe Azafran after friends told us the food was really good. Sadly it was a disappointing experience. We made a reservation to celebrate a big birthday. We were seated at a tiny table at the very back of the restaurant- no ambiance for sure. The waitress did a nice job checking on us throughout the meal and the sangria was great. We should have stopped after the goat cheese tapas that we shared for an appetizer. That part was delicious. Our main entrees were pretty to look at, but tasteless. I had the vegan paella which supposedly had lots of veggies. It was primarily tomato coated rice that was gummy and flavorless. Our other entree was the encrusted halibut which also lacked flavor and seemed overcooked. I should have complained about the paella, but didn’t. My fault! Anyway, we won’t be going back. There are too many other much better restaurants in Rehoboth!
