I want to commend the management for improving the service at the café. While I’ve always found the food excellent and the atmosphere outstanding, the service had diminished some in recent years. The crew today seems to be right on top of things and I commend Christian especially for his timely pacing of my meal and the on-duty hostess today. The Pfister Café remains my favorite lunch place in Milwaukee and has been for 50 years plus.

Service & seating was quick. Coffee came equally quick and menus. Ordering went well , however the hash browns were a minimal portion and cold, the ham/cheese omelet excellent, but the English muffin I asked to be well buttered was anything but!! Was also a bit surprised to hear the wait staff make a rather racist comment to a customer (as part of a conversation) that was easily overheard . In any case, the experience was definitely mixed, which is distinctly different from our prior experiences at the Cafe. I should also say my wife expressed that her food was ok.

Delicious lunch to celebrate the holidays. The Cobb salad/tomato soup combo was delicious. The club sandwich looks great too. Don’t miss the beautiful decorations in the lobby, such an iconic Milwaukee hotel.
