It was busy and they didn’t honor my reservation time. They seated us on the patio, rather than the dining room because an earlier party was late for their reservation and had not finished! Eventually they moved us to the dining room, by the kitchen door.

Excellent meal at this charming old inn. Service was outstanding. The farm-to-table meal was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend the stuffed pork tenderloin. Vegetables were so crisp and delicious. Great dessert. I was lucky to get a table on the porch on a beautiful night. Thanks for a great dining experience!

We were travelling and looking for an enjoyable evening meal to energize us for the rest of our trip! We stayed at the Telegraph House Motel and enjoyed a fabulous farm to table meal. Wait staff were phenomenal ( thanks Judy) and the menu choices made it a difficult decision. Crab cakes, scallops, tenderloin, haddock, lobster. All surrounded with farm fresh greens and fresh ingredients that created excellent tastes and a meal that we each felt we needed to share with each other because the taste was soooo good! There was also a very suitable wine and drinks menu! The end of the evening came too fast and will definitely require another visit!!! Thank you to all!

I have to say it was the worst dining experience we had over our entire trip. The room was stuffy and the service was poor. My husband ordered the potato leek soup which tasted like potato and I ordered the salad with dressing on the side. They delivered my husband‘s soup, but not my salad. We had to seek out the waitress to get my salad which came with dressing on it. The waitress told me it was only lightly dressed, but I still waited for undressed salad to come. I ordered the lobster risotto which said nothing about cheese on the menu but it came with a very strong amount of Parmesan cheese so I sent that back. My husband had the halibut which was ok to be honest. We did not stay for dessert. Despite the good reviews I would not recommend this restaurant.

The crab cakes were outstanding! As was the haddock and sticky pudding!! And gluten free! Best meal in NS

The service and food were splendid. Our waitress was the youngest there and was super attentive. Everything had been thought of to make this a memorable meal. It is expensive but as I said everything had been thought about. In terms of ambience it is quite formal but for a really nice meal or special event works well.
