Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

The filet steak was slightly dry, even though it was cooked to a perfect medium. However, the lobster risotto was absolutely delicious, and the chargrilled oysters were a flawless 10/10.

We have been to other locations before, however this one is preferred. The food and staff are top tier. Dayvion provided such excellent customer service today. The pineapple upside down cheesecake should stay on the menu.

Our server was amazing ! Had the red snapper and a side of crispy brussels sprouts while my friend snagged on oysters and truffle fries. Every thing was amazing from drinks all the way down to our white chocolate bread pudding dessert. 10 out of 10 will be back during the summer time to enjoy some fresh seafood on their patio.

My husband and I have been dining at C&S for years. We love the food and service. The quality of the food is excellence. Everything on the menu is delicious. One of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta.

Upon arriving, we were promptly seated. Our server, Dayvion, was a treasure. He listened well, was very patient, and was present throughout the meal. We enjoyed the bluepoint oysters, the crab cake, and calamari appetizers. For entrees, we ordered the branzino, flounder, and seafood gumbo. Everything arrived hot and was seasoned well. Someone from our party had a cooking question, and Dayvion brought the manager and chef to our table. We were celebrating a birthday, and Dayvion brought us (on him) a Creme Brulee and a Key Lime Pie, which were delicious. Both desserts had a nice texture and weren't overly sweet. We look forward to returning to sample more items on the menu.
