Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.

Had a great experience per usual at C&S Oyster Bar. I sat at the bar this time and enjoyed great service and amazing cocktails. Rachel and Chrystal were both amazing bartenders… Chrystal makes a great Old Fashioned… and Rachel’s Espresso Martinis are top notch. I’m already looking forward to next time.

Per usual, my experience was phenomenal. The gentleman that waited on my table, name was Elijah! He was beyond attentive, super informative and all of his suggestions were brilliant and so delicious! This dining experience, I tried the bone marrow with escargot for the first time, and I was overwhelmed with how delicious this dish was! Hands-down this is my favorite Atlanta restaurant, 10 out of 10.

Monday evening was our first time dining at Clark and Schwenk and we were happy with our experience. My husband had made reservations for my birthday. The staff at the front entrance were outgoing and greeted us warmly when we first arrived and took us to our table. Brandy was our server and she was fabulous. Very professional yet friendly and upbeat. Brandy made some great recommendations as she explained the menu to us , including the lump crab cake appetizer which I just had to try especially since I’m from Maryland and have been eating crabs and crab cakes my entire life. The crab cake was good and lump crab meat was used without an excess of filler, however, the price of $30 was steep based on the small size of the crab cake with nothing else served with it. This price would have been the same up north for a crab cake platter with a crab cake 3 times the size and it would have included a side item. In my opinion somewhere in the area of $22 would have been a reasonable price for the small crab cake appetizer. My husband ordered a variety of oysters which he said were delicious and were priced reasonably. He also ordered the grilled grouper which he said had good flavor but was a bit over cooked and on the dry side. I ordered the grilled salmon which came out perfectly cooked at medium and I really enjoyed the dish. Overall the entire evening was great. Brandy couldn’t have been more wonderful to us as I celebrated my birthday. We will definitely be back to try other dishes and we’ll be sure to ask for Brandy to serve our table again.

The food was absolutely phenomenal, as always! We ordered the chargrilled oysters, raw oysters, the ribeye dinner, and the lamb chops dinner. Both the steak and lamb chops were cooked to absolute perfection—easily the best I’ve ever had! The service was equally impressive, with our server and General Manager Gage Zeringue ensuring every detail of our experience was flawless. Their attentiveness truly made the evening unforgettable!

Great service from Eli and Juan. We had a delicious, relaxing dinner. The roasted oyster appetizer was yummy. !The staff was all very pleasant without being overbearing. The food was great! We will be back!

My experience at C&S Seafood and Oyster Bar was exceptional. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted warmly and taken to my table. My server was very knowledgable about the menu and helped us make great selections. The drinks and food were phenomenal. The ambience was warm and inviting. A good time was had by all.

Another great evening at C&S Brookhaven. Gabe and his team were on it. The place was packed with several large parties but the service was spot on. We had grilled oysters that were delicious, a crab cake that was one of the best I have ever had . We also had Chilean sea bass and a blackened redfish with a delicious lemon butter sauce.Everything we had was exceptional . Kudos to the chef and our server Justin who was absolutely delightful.

Food was excellent! Service was not so great. We ordered drinks and oysters and we were done with our oysters before the drinks ever came and they were terrible. It took over 30 minutes to get drinks. We got there at 830 and didn’t leave until 1030. Very slow service.

The food was excellent but the service was subpar. I indicated when I booked that it was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. But it was not acknowledged and nothing special happened. And the service was very slow, overall not at the level of the venue or the food.
