Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

    Best experience everytime I enter the building. This place rocks! The service is impeccable- I chose to come for a birthday celebration and Rachel had us entertained the entire night. Feeding us mouthwatering espressos and participating in conversation all while serving the entire bar. I can’t say enough good about this place and the staff! 10/10 again

    I always love coming to C&S I usually come for date night but after a long day at the job I decided to pop in for happy hour. 10/10 I will definitely come back (hopefully with friends next time lol)

    First and foremost I LOVE my C & S Oysters! I was too excited when I saw C&S came to my side of town!! This is now my third visit to the Brookhaven location, because I can’t get enough, and now they are just down the street. The vibe is relaxed, the ambience chic, and the staff is sharp! The head chef Zan(a total sweetheart) is the kind of lead that takes pride in his kitchen. Because of this, I keep coming back! It’s like I know if Zan is leading back in the kitchen, I can trust every plate I order. The c&s cups are delicious and always fresh, and the happy hour chard oysters are salivation worthy! The umami flavors in the tuna tart will make your taste buds explode, it’s so fresh and so good! If you choose to sit at the bar ask or Rachel or Luis! These two are friendly, fun, but also attentive. I saw they have caviar, so I will be going back to try that next! If they add a caviar bake potato to the menu, ha! They will never get rid of me!! Nevertheless if you love good fresh oysters, an upscale chill experience, you found the right spot!!

    I had the pleasure of dining here and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional!!!!     We were greeted and seated by Alex. We had a conversation about the joys of marriage and being married for 30 yrs. We were impressed with his warm and caring nature. Our server was Cooper. He was patient and listened to our full order and request. We started with the chargrilled oysters (best in town hands down) and chopped salad. We had the red snapper and salmon for our entrees. Cooper saw to it that our meal was coursed out in a timely fashion. We were pleasantly surprised with a creme brulee dessert compliments of Alex in celebration of 30 yrs of marriage. It is this attention to detail that sets C &S Seafood Brookhaven apart from the masses of subpar eateries in Atlanta. The superior quality of food, quick but not rushed service, and attentive staff like Alex and Cooper will continually draw me back to this establishment.

    Run don’t walk to this new C&S location. I have long been a fan of the Roswell Road location, the Brookhaven one is also exceptional. The grilled oysters did not disappoint. My sea bass was grilled to perfection. All in all, an exquisite dining experience.

    We had a great experience. Mo, our waiter, was excellent. The grilled swordfish and salmon were prepared perfectly and the restaurant provided a nice surprise for our anniversary.
