Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients. Proper attire required.

The following are not allowed: Beach flip flops, slides tank tops for men undershirt type t-shirts sweat pants and jogging pants athletic shorts clothing with inappropriate graphics clothing that is overly exposing midriff tops shorts that are too short.

    Great food. Excellent waiter. He was patient with us, explained things and made helpful suggestions, then without being ask brought a birthday dessert for my friend at the end of the evening.

    The service was impeccable as usual. I do feel like the quality of the food is not quite as good since I last visited. The chargrilled oysters had little char Grill on them and appeared to have been rushed. The Keylime pie was the biggest disappointment. It appeared that it was not made fresh and look like it was purchased from the freezer section of local grocery store.

    Very good first impression of C&S. Every thing we ordered was delicious. The drinks, appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts were all great! Our server Sam was nice and attentive!

    I have been going to this location for 6+ months every week/weekend and have never had a bad experience. The food is always consistent and the drinks are magical. And let me tell you, what a staff! Gage and Alex the two managers are absolutely fantastic and so accommodating. The bartenders.. next level. Clean bar, great hosts, great drinks. Shout out to LOUIS for being always amazing.

    Ambience and food were really good. Cecilia was very patient and accommodating to us. She shared the salmon feature of the day which we ordered. We also ordered the shrimp spring rolls, chargrilled oysters (spinach added), blackened grouper with creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious! I truly look forward to returning soon.

    C&S….. the go to place for any occasion, especially your birthday! Chopped salad with grill salmon with creamy dill dressing was delicious! The pumpkin cheese cake was a special birthday treat! Shout out to my fellow Scorpio and favorite waiter, Mo! He brings such great energy and fun to your dining experience! And thank you to Gage as always…. Another fellow Scorpio!
