Reservations are for dinner only, please. Bar seats operate on a first come, first serve basis, and cannot be reserved.
We cannot accommodate parties larger than 10. Due to the layout of our restaurant, we are unable to accommodate pets on our patio.

We are visiting Charlottesville for a wedding and stumbled upon this restaurant through open table. We could not have been more thrilled with this unique spot. We started with the local little gem salad, perfect delicate flavors. I had the butternut squash ravioli which was incredible. My husband had the veal sweetbreads. I have not seen him that happy over a meal in quite sometime! The ambiance is old mountain cabin meets speakeasy with a perfectly curated playlist set playing quietly in the background. Wonderful experience from start to finish!

I don't live in Charlottesville but I have wanted to dine here since I first heard about this place in the early 1990s. So glad I finally did and I hope I get another chance to eat there again.

Food, ambiance and service were outstanding! I’ll be dreaming about those scallops! We also had the sweet potato ravioli appetizer and the NY strip and Rockfish entrees. Perfect ending to the meal was the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate almond cake (wow)!

This is probably the finest restaurant in Charlottesville, a city with some great restaurants. Professional service, great ambiance, and the food is wonderful. The upstairs dining room is lovely but may get a little loud when fully populated (but it did create an upbeat atmosphere!). I hadn't been here since 1986 and all was still wonderful.

10/10 customer service & food. This is a special place for us and yall NEVER disappoint! Made a comment that we were celebrating our 10th anniversary, and yall made it even more special with a complimentary glass of champagne. Will be coming back for yrs to come!

We visit Charlottesville a couple of times a year for the wineries and The C&O . The food and ambiance never disappoint.

The restaurant was out of bread by 7:30 pm. It took us over an hour for entrees to be served. With certain exceptions (ham appetizer), the food was ehhh. And we were seated in the dark, basement section. Our waiter was quite good and attentive, but overall, it was a disappointing experience.
