It was our 20th wedding anniversary and our first time at The Bygone. Everything was amazing from the entrance to the Four Seasons to the host seating us and Dan providing excellent service. He was attentive and gave us awesome recommendations from drinks to desserts. I am not much of a drinker, but I love fruity drinks and he recommended " The Bygone Daisy". It's sweet with a little tequila and it was GOOD. My husband and I will definitely be back. Thank you for the great experience. Oh and our table was amazing with the views of downtown Baltimore. It was kind of private and cozy. Beautiful!

Food and drink were both very good, but the service was slow and inattentive. We were celebrating a special occasion which was not acknowledged by the staff (usually you would at least get a candle in dessert). I was also very disappointed by the view, which the maitre d touted as excellent before seating is directly in front of a Marriott sign. Lastly, the overhead lighting at the table cast a shadow over our faces that was very unflattering. This sounds trivial, but on a romantic date lighting is important. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost.

Promptly seated upon arrival. Our requested window table was fantastic offering wonderful views. Server Daniel was friendly and professional—a pleasure. Starters shrimp cocktail and gem salad were tasty. Crab cake entree was decent size with plenty of lump meat. Pommes puree side was fantastic. Was disappointed in the Big Glory Bay Salmon—serving size was very small and the salmon a bit dry. Caramel Apple dessert was a winner.

The service was great and the food was superb. We were celebrating my sister's birthday and I requested to be seated near the window for a view of the harbor. She was visiting from out of town and a seat with a view would have been perfect, however when we got there, they said they didn't have seats near the window! They should have called and let us know in advance instead of us finding out when we arrived. Part of the reason we chose Bygone in the first place was the view from the 26th floor. Had I known, I was going to be looking at the kitchen, I would have gone somewhere else for dinner. If you have a party of (over 4 people) make sure you realize they cannot seat you near the windows.

I wrote a note prior to my reservation that I wanted the night to be special for my friend’s birthday and stated his name and that he was celebrating his 60th. We arrive and it was like i didn’t write anything in the special instructions on my reservation on open table at all. They literally asked are we celebrating anything special all the while they were holding a birthday card. I had to tell them again it was my friend’s birthday. The attention to detail and instructions were awkward and my friend noticed. It took away the specialness of the night and it was disappointing.

When you walk in the place is stunning. The rest has a loy to be desired. Then menu is the worst in Baltimore. The Bygonne would do well if they just took the menu from the Loch Bar downstairs. The menu was so small with no good choices, but the crab cake and Prime rib, no pasta dish and the took the Halibut off the menu "not sure why". I asked if the salmon could be blackend and Rich's answer was we have no capabilities to do so and hard NO:(. What does that mean? It was my mom's birthday and she commented the mashed potatoes looked like they were out of the box. They treated us like we were not spending $300.00 on a basic meal. I had to call the waiter several times, they were puzzeld by the can we get salt and pepper question. Then handed us a teaspoon with salt on it. They had three options on the dessert menu "3 bad choices" including pumpkin creme brulee :(! If you want a drink and impress with ambiance this is you place especially at sundown. But you can tell they only want certain clientelle there... I did not have a good experience, spent a ton of money and left kind of hungry. My wife wispered, we won't be back..... Go downstairs to the Loch Bar, or Oceannaire. Unreal for the price point.

Perfect restaurant for a romantic date night with a view! The vibes were giving upscale and intimate and the food was delicious. We both ordered the lamb chops, very yummy! Will be back again for sure

We attended during the buffet hour.. the food was cold and everything was pretty much gone. The person that was making the waffles only had one waffle maker… the potatoes were cold as well.
