The service was great and the food was superb. We were celebrating my sister's birthday and I requested to be seated near the window for a view of the harbor. She was visiting from out of town and a seat with a view would have been perfect, however when we got there, they said they didn't have seats near the window! They should have called and let us know in advance instead of us finding out when we arrived. Part of the reason we chose Bygone in the first place was the view from the 26th floor. Had I known, I was going to be looking at the kitchen, I would have gone somewhere else for dinner. If you have a party of (over 4 people) make sure you realize they cannot seat you near the windows.

When you walk in the place is stunning. The rest has a loy to be desired. Then menu is the worst in Baltimore. The Bygonne would do well if they just took the menu from the Loch Bar downstairs. The menu was so small with no good choices, but the crab cake and Prime rib, no pasta dish and the took the Halibut off the menu "not sure why". I asked if the salmon could be blackend and Rich's answer was we have no capabilities to do so and hard NO:(. What does that mean? It was my mom's birthday and she commented the mashed potatoes looked like they were out of the box. They treated us like we were not spending $300.00 on a basic meal. I had to call the waiter several times, they were puzzeld by the can we get salt and pepper question. Then handed us a teaspoon with salt on it. They had three options on the dessert menu "3 bad choices" including pumpkin creme brulee :(! If you want a drink and impress with ambiance this is you place especially at sundown. But you can tell they only want certain clientelle there... I did not have a good experience, spent a ton of money and left kind of hungry. My wife wispered, we won't be back..... Go downstairs to the Loch Bar, or Oceannaire. Unreal for the price point.

Perfect restaurant for a romantic date night with a view! The vibes were giving upscale and intimate and the food was delicious. We both ordered the lamb chops, very yummy! Will be back again for sure

We attended during the buffet hour.. the food was cold and everything was pretty much gone. The person that was making the waffles only had one waffle maker… the potatoes were cold as well.

We came for brunch. The food was good but not great though the selection is very nice and it was replenished regularly. The speakeasy ambiance, attentive service, and imaginative adult beverages made up for the "good, not great" food score.

The meal, views and service was beyond compare. The seasonal butternut squash soup had so many complex layers of flavor that it was a joy in every taste. The duck and lamb dishes were both excellently prepared to perfect temperature. The flavor accompaniments were perfect. The mashed potatoes were amazingly smooth and brussel sprouts were spot on crispy. We had the perfect sunset views to celebrate our 20th anniversary.

We dined at the Bygone for our anniversary, and they went above and beyond to help us celebrate! They created a special environment and had amazing food. Our waiter, Mike, was very attentive. He provided excellent service that helped make the night even more amazing. Will definitely come back!

I never right reviews wether it be a good or bad experience but this place deserves everything I have to say. First when I got to the lobby they already knew who I was. When I got upstairs to the actual restaurant they knew as well. It was my anniversary and we were promptly seated near the window to have the best views of the cutout and I mean the best views of downtown I have ever seen. I waitress Anna was amazing polite listened share a few laughs. Food was top tier I mean amazing and I only could eat mash potatoes, Mac and cheese and a salad I’ve never tasted such high quality ingredients the ambiance was amazing all of the staff where extremely helpful , polite and attending to every thing we needed and wanted. They also even gave us a happy anniversary card, sparkling wine to toast to the evening. My wife said the lamb chops were amazing as while as her crab. All and all we will be here again very soon. Thank you everyone at bygone for such a special and amazing experience.
