This is my first time but not really like what i expected. It is far from “ Middle eastern “ cuisine. It is overpriced and too noise for a date.

The food is at a flavour level beyond almost anything you’ve ever experienced! The presentation of the food is also beautiful. The prices are a little steep, but for a sensory experience it’s incredible. It truly is one of my favourite restaurants of all time and definitely my favourite restaurant in Toronto.

Byblos always impresses with its amazing food, and our server was fantastic. However, the hostesses at the front were very unprofessional. They seemed uninterested in their job, didn’t greet us, and were busy chatting among themselves. We had to ask for their attention, and even then, they didn’t smile or make us feel welcome. On our way out, they continued to be inattentive and preoccupied with their conversation. This kind of attitude is unprofessional and really takes away from the overall experience. A bit more training and focus on customer service would go a long way for the hostess

It was our first time at Byblos- it close proximity to the Princess of Wales theatre. We ordered the labneh as an app along with the Ankara Elixir, which is their twist on the espresso martini. Labneh was rich and creamy with some sweetness added from the beets, perfect start to the meal. We enjoyed the drink as well because it wasn't as sweet or acidic as your typical espresso martini. For our mains we ordered the wagyu beef kebobs and the jeweled rice. The rice was my favourite item of the night! I highly recommend it. I think you could pair with any of the proteins. Finally we ended with a mint tea and a slice of the lemon olive cake with pistachio chantilly. The cake was tasty but a bit dense. But I would order it again... The portions are a larger tapas style but it was a bit pricey for the amount you of food you get. It was fine to share with my mom but if my husband and I went, the bill would have been doubled. I am excited to visit again and try the other items on the menu like their dumplings.

We loved dining here and plan to come back to experience the whole menu. The food was savory, delicious, and perfectly proportioned. We highly recommend this place!
