Serving ocean food platters in the scenic bay views of Tranquility Bay, Butterfly Café is a full service restaurant ladling seafood dinners to the lodgers and visiting gourmets.
Customers can dine in the upscale elegant indoors furnished with wicker seats and grommet curtains or relax in the outdoor patio at Butterfly Cafe.

Important note: To guarantee outdoor dining with us please select "Outdoor" Seating at booking. Standard seating is indoors.

Beautiful setting. We sat outside and the table and scenery were amazing! The service was very friendly and catering. Food was delicious! Highly recommend the warm goat cheese/crostini and amaretto cherries for an appetizer, as well as the Lemon Drop for a your drink. We were there for our anniversary and it was perfect!

A hidden gem! The Butterfly Cafe had great good, service and view. The view from the beach was beautiful and the dining area was quaint and calming. Our servers were very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Outstanding! The best meal we’ve had in the Keys. We had the Butterfly Salad and Tuna Napoleon appetizers, the scallops and filet mignon and crème brûlée for dessert. All wonderful! Jasmine was our server and she was excellent. Can’t wait to return!

Food is very good. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Flavor was great. Service impeccable. Pricey, but you do get what you pay for. Would pay these prices at other places if food would live up to the bill.

Butterfly Cafe was a sad disappointment from the start. We arrived 30 minutes early to check in and have drinks at the bar outside before our reservation. We waited patiently for someone (anyone) to acknowledge us at the podium. We waited about 7 minutes watching restaurant staff come and go setting up inside the restaurant before giving up and walking through the restaurant to go outside and having a drink and saw several staff members on phones and talking with each other - still no acknowledgement. We came back in 5 minutes before our reservation time and yet again, no one at the podium and no acknowledgement. There was another couple that was waiting and they seemed as frustrated as we were. Finally, my husband asked the hotel staff if anyone was working restaurant check-in and they said yes, they were busy setting up for a private function in the restaurant. Once the person came out, she was clearly overstressed and found our reservation and took us to our table outside, here is where I am totally aghast! The restaurant was packed with the "private" party who acted as if no one else was supposed to be there beside them. The hostess took us through the service area to walk us on the outside of the porch to the back where our table was! How uncool!! My husband was explaining our experience about waiting and not receiving any confirmation that we were standing there. I actually was very upset and told her how I felt and how it was not a great start to our evening. She did apologize and said that they had a private party. I wonder if they should have not taken any other reservations besides the private party. Our waiter Jose was very kind and offered us a complimentary drink for our wait. They had risotto on the menu with scallops and a red pepper sauce and vegetables - I asked if I could get just the risotto with chicken and he assured me twice that it would only be risotto and chicken. Guess what! it came out with the red pepper sauce and vegetables!

The service was terrible! It was extremely disappointing for a high end , sophisticated restaurant. I did talk to the manager and he took the gratuity iff, as well as 15 % of the bill. It could have been a great experience, but unfortunately it really put a damper on on our evening.

Great food and atmosphere. Perfect for a date night where you can have an elevated meal away from the hustle of marathon. Even better when you can walk back to your villa after.

BUTTERLFLY CAFE over priced. No atmosphere. Food was ehhhh! Not many choices. Server was fine. Place was totally empty so.no wait.
