Originally built in 1832 as the Cross Keys Hotel we have been serving the locals of Blaenavon and beyond for almost 200 years.

I have been to this restaurant a few times , we have always had a fantastic meal the service is outstanding. The prices are reasonable for what u receive . We all had steak they were cooked to perfection and they were so tender. The front of house man was helpful when deciding what to order , the staff were attentive and polite. Can’t wait to come back again

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant. Great food, excellent service from the waitressing to the kitchen and bar staff. Everyone was so polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will most definitely return.

Absolutely stunning venue and food. Perfect for couples and families. We are definitely going to visit again and we would highly recommend.

We had the Sunday lunch experience.... It was lovely. All cooked perfectly, melt in the mouth. Desserts also amazing. Will definitely be back.

We absolutely adore this place, our next booking is to try their Sunday Lunch. The staff are attentive, and the food is stunning. As it was a birthday dinner, we ordered the £90 steak platter. It was outstanding, the steak melted in your mouths, the side dishes were delicious and the sauces delectable. I marked the noise as moderate, this was at no fault of the restaurant staff but the table next to us, had a childs iPad playing but with no headphones, which is a pet hate of mine. I don’t want to hear cartoons when I’m out for dinner! If you’ve not already tried Butterflies, please book it, I promise you, you won’t be disappointed and you’ll probably need a doggy bag.

Lovely staff, only complaints for me personally were the portion was huge and it put me off a bit as my plate was so full (-most people want this I know) there were bones in my fish. Also my sons bun was burned so he wouldn't eat his burger Still a lovely place to eat But a bit pricey

This was a booking for my mother in law for her 60th birthday. They were so impressed with the food, environment, staff and cost! They said they would definitely be returning so thank you x

Steak cooked to perfection and lovely triple cooked chips. Once again an excellent meal that’s why we keep going back 👍🏻

Excellent service, made to feel welcome as soon as we entered and booked in for our reservation . The meal was delicious and left you wanting to repeat the experience in the future
