Butera’s Restaurant of Bay Shore is the newest addition to the Butera Restaurant Group. Owners Gary Butera, Martin &Laurie Butera, Nick Zografos & David Novak have provided cool green & white panels, brick, subway tile, marble and original artwork. The decor adds a sleek industrial edge to compliment the tone in the casual, comfortable dining room & spacious bar. Garage doors bring the “outside” in to add to the open, airy industrial look.
The Butera’s kitchen, since it’s inception in Massapequa 1991 to present day Bay Shore , has and still does offer traditional rustic Italian cuisine with a modern flair alongside unique specials showcasing authentic ingredients and locally sourced products.
The Butera’s family relishes the opportunity to begin a new chapter in Bay Shore, and wants nothing more than to serve and delight the community for years to come.

We had a 7:30pm show at the Boulton Center, so we made a 6:15pm reservation here thinking that would be enough time. It also says on OpenTable that a party of 4 is allotted 75 minutes. When we first sat, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy. Ordered our food by 6:25pm. The couple we were with ordered a salad to start, which come out pretty quickly. By 7pm, we still didn't have our food. By now the restaurant was packed and many tables that were seated after us had their dinners. Finally got our server who told us they don't put the main dinner orders in until after appetizer plates are cleared? We got our meals at 7:10pm, so we only had two bites before we had to pack it up to go. I can't comment on the food because I didn't really get to enjoy it. So my recommendation is to make sure you tell your server if you want your main order put in right away or as soon as your appetizer/salad comes out. Because otherwise, the service here is beyond slow.

We went on a Thursday night when they had a guy singing with a guitar. Was so nice. The bartender Chris was amazing and our waitress Nancy was awesome. Food was delicious and the host was top notch. He opened the door for us which we thought was a nice touch. Great place

Not as good as usual. Can’t stand the small tables for two. Food was good but not as good as it once was. Must be a different chef or just an off night. Will definitely try again.

Buteras never disappoints. The food is consistently good and they accommodate any requests. I had the chicken piccata and I would definitely recommend it. Everyone is always very friendly

Much different atmosphere than Sayville location, which we love. Casual, rustic decor just okay. Loud family right next to us. Disappointed they don’t offer the family style like Sayville. Food was good, but probably won’t go back.

What a great meal we had at Butera’s of Bayshore. From start to finish everything was delicious. Chicken meatball pot and Tai calamari to start. Mains we had double cut pork chop, sea scallops, veal Parm and penne chicken and shrimp in vodka sauce. Everybody was so happy with the meal. Food was delicious and presented awesomely. The service was fantastic by the waitress and the bus service. We finished up with cannolis. Complements to the chef in the kitchen. 11 out of 10

We’ve been coming to the Butera’s in Bay Shore often since it opened 4 years ago and have never been disappointed! The food is outstanding! My favorite is the Chicken piccata and my husband‘s is the pork chop that can challenge any as being the best around! The shrimp limoncello and the Thai calamari are my two favorite appetizers, absolutely delicious. They have a nice choice of specialty cocktails and music on Wednesday and Thursdays which is great! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their selections. I would definitely recommend this spot!

I enjoyed the resturant for my birthday . The food was amazing The vibe was extremely pleasant and the decor was modern. The portion sizes were great and we had enough food to take home which is always a plus if you enjoy leftovers. The table was presented with fresh bread and garlic nots that we got with oil to dip. The service was friendly and attentive even the owner came to our table and asked us how we were. I will definitely be coming back
