Hadn’t been since the new menu was in place. LOVED it. Butch’s is not to be missed.

The service was slow and the food was only mediocre! The halibut was very dry and overcooked and the dessert of bread pudding was almost tasteless! Our first visit so we probably will not return. Overall cost was excessive for the quality! We visited the “speak easy” bar in the lower level which was cute and a unique experience. The drinks were on the expensive side but, the overall ambience was very nice!

Butch's Dry Dock is a treasure in downtown Holland. Good food, good service, and excellent ambience. It has become our "go to" restaurant. We know we will have a lovely evening!

This is one of the better finer dining restaurants in Holland. There are several better choices, that offer better food and better value, that are more on the casual side. The main problem with Butch's Dry Dock is service. Our server (Karrie K.) is awful. And unfortunately, she has been my server on other occasions at Butch's. Karrie is in dire need of either re-training or a career change. She has zero personality, and even less patience and attentiveness to her tables and guests. We spent over $417 for four diners. This is my last visit to Butch's.

So disappointed. I ordered the very pricey halibut, my friend the cauliflower steak. When my halibut was delivered, I almost said out loud…where is the rest of my order! Serving size was extremely small. Fish was very over cooked, it was inedible. The braised cabbage was good. In keeping with the small portions…the few fingerling potatoes were cut in half and all shriveled. My friend liked her steak. She would have finished it had she had a steak knife. She didn’t like the other vegetables under the steak…very heavy handed use of curry. The server showed the manager/owner my uneaten plated food. He took 50% off cost of my fish. He didn’t come by our table to apologize. Bad form. Very disappointed.

Service was perfect. Everyone loved their choice of salad, entree and dessert. Wine pairings were excellent. Our go-to place in Holland.

One of the best meals I have had in awhile- just sooo good. The service and guidance from our waitress was exceptional.
