We visited this restaurant during restaurant week and were impressed with the menu and the food. The steaks were tender, and the atmosphere was fantastic.

I was excited about trying a new steakhouse for restaurants week. But disappointed in the outcome. I tried option 2 on the fixed menu -Crab cake was okay, the sauce for me was too lemony but decent -Filet mignon was basic, not much flavor I had to ask for steak sauce & horseradish, it was barely warm, (I like my steak hot) it wasn’t very juicy or Tender (I’ve had way better) -we had to ask for our sides bc the filet came alone and that took a while to come out -sides: horrible, first off I am not a fan of mash potatoes but the restaurant week menu wasn’t flexible. the mash potatoes had no flavor. It was mixed with “roasted” corn but I didn’t see the corn to be roasted, it wasn’t charred -Luckily they were able to change the desserts option to the limoncello sponge cake but I wasn’t wow’ed about it -service was okay. The waitresses did compensate for the sides not coming out on time with glasses of champagne (which was delish) -environment: aesthetics- nice Space - tight, the tables didn’t have much room Noise: music was boring/ buzz kill Lighting: bright for a steakhouse

Amazing. Actually incredible. Please go, you won’t regret it. Wonderful staff and absolutely delicious food & drinks. Truly more than worth it.

If you’re looking for an excellent steakhouse in San Diego, I would not suggest Butcher’s Cut. The service was poor. Our waiter brought out the wrong food twice and wasn’t very attentive for a restaurant of this quality and price point. We ordered Filet Mignon and twice they brought out a NY Strip. When they did finally bring the filet mignon, it was overcooked and not seasoned well. Our dishes also came with sides, and they forgot the sides, which were supposed to be mashed potatoes and broccolini. All we received was the mashed potatoes. We also had the ahi tuna and it was overcooked. Overall a poor experience, over-priced, and not worth what we paid. Look elsewhere for a quality high-end steakhouse such as Born and Raised, STK, etc.

We were seated at our reservation time. Food was underwhelming for the price. Steaks just ok, and one of use ordered the lamb, it was horribly overcooked. Should not have been served. Side veggies were also just ok. Asparagus was overcooked, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box, very dry. Only saving grace was our server was very attentive, in a very crowded restaurant. Also note- Restaurant called me prior to reservation, as we were a party of 6 for a credit card to hold the reservation, which I really dislike.

Service poor compared to previous visit, no cutlery, water not re filled, my chicken was way over cooked so very dry The first 3 wines I ordered were not available

Food was good- service was fine once we had a waitress come over- reservation timing wasnt great- waited an hour from actual time of reservation to be sat for a 4 top and then another 15-2- before we had anyone talk to us. Understand some wait but 60+ mins is a bit excessive and may be due to taking too many reservations that they cannot actually accommodate. Just something to be aware of if you are on a time crunch that you may have extensive wait, even with a reservation.

Will never go here again. We never even got our main course. Absolutely awful. We paid for a 4 course meal and never even ate the main. Horrific is the right word.
