What am awesome experience...I was in town with friends to see all three MLB stadiums and decide to check out s few steakhouses while in town. Tried Gibsons and here and as a non Chicago native the difference between these two in wide. Butcher and the bear is an absolute must for anyone who lives in or visits Chicago. We had the ny strip, lamb chops and the beef cheek and all were absolutely perfect

Very well designed restaurant and ambience, service was great and friendly, sadly most of the food ordered didn’t match the quality of the space.

Our waiter Wally was excellent. There was no salt or pepper on the table, and I had the first bite of my black onyx ribeye and it was seasoned perfectly, cooked perfectly, awesome. Yum!

Celebrated my birthday at Butcher & The Bear and was super pleased with everything. Everyone was kind, great service and delicious food. Everything was prepared to our liking. They also gave complimentary birthday cake slices, the carrot cake was so good. Definitely recommend this spot.

Service was great. Food was even better. My strip might’ve been the best I’ve ever had. Drinks came out a little slow but I think we got there right at 7 so it might’ve been the height of the rush
