The Tae Rak Bush Tucker Café serves meals prepared by a local Gunditjmara chef, with a menu featuring modern dishes using regional produce infused with local bush herbs & spices. The café has indoor and alfresco dining overlooking the shores of Lake Condah, and there's plenty of space for the kids to run around. Try the signature Kooyang (eel) Tasting Plates for a deep dive into Gunditjmara culture with traditional smoked eel, eel paté, and smoked eel Arancini balls.
Serving meals 10am~2pm, and coffee & cake all day.

We chose the smoked eel balls with salad. Very pleasant combination of flavours. The smoke flavour was not over-bearing. The staff were very professional in all aspects of service provided.

Absolutely gorgeous environment, overlooking the lake. Staff go out of their way to be helpful. Food beautifully presented.

The group of 15 people were all very happy with their experience dining out at the Tae Rak Aquaculture Centre and will certainly be making a return visit in the future. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone. Thank you all for your wonderful service and information on the centre.

An amazing food experience..I took 7 clients to Take Rak, some were fussy eaters, however no one complaint from any of them..We all throughly enjoyed our food experience and the well tasted amazing 😊 Thankyou, we shall return

We sat outside because the day was perfect the view ove r the water was amazing if the weather was inclement it would be ok outside as there is a verandah if its windy it could be uncomfortable but there is plenty of room inside.

The most beautiful setting. Really lovely staff, super helpful and made us very welcome. Food was yum and we think it’s a great idea there is no alcohol as the place is beautifully quiet and peaceful. Best venue in the far Sth West. A World Heritage site but not pretentious at all - not some overpriced wank job but a cafe on a bird haven lake
