Located in Hyde Park, on the corner of 43rd and Speedway in the historic former post office building, Bureau de Poste at Tiny Grocer is a neighborhood French bistro offering classics with a modern twist. An exciting partnership between Top Chef alum Jo Chan and Steph Steele of Tiny Grocer fame, Bureau de Poste has been named Best New Restaurant by Texas Monthly and Austin Monthly.

We enjoy the food here and the wine selection. The steak frites is excellent and also the Cod. The clafoutis for dessert was outstanding.

Everything was classically prepared and spot on. Best fish we've had in Austin in a long time and in a lovely, laid back atmosphere. The store and restaurant are a great contribution to the neighborhood.

Our first time here; it turned out be a super cute setup with a grocery, deli, bar and restaurant with a small indoor dining and a large patio dining areas in charming neighborhood. Our fabulous waitress was Lilly, very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We started with Escargot and Endive salad; both were absolutely scrumptious. The best part was a huge Steak and Frite that we split; probably the best steak I’ve ever had. Throughout the meal, Lilly checked on us many times making sure the food was upto our expectation. Desserts ordered were the chocolate caramel mousse and the Clafouti; the chocolate one was the clear winner, very decadent and delicious. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be back for more!

Loved the French food and ambience! Also a place I can take my kids for a special night out. Enjoyed our service too! Lily was wonderful!

Great place to eat. Too noisy though. Need more options and include store items like empanadas.

This was such a great find. It's located in a lovely neighborhood. Its a small place inside of Tiny Grocer but has a large outdoor patio. The service and food were both terrific. We will be back for sure!

We had excellent service at the restaurant, but the food was nothing spectacular. Yes it was good, but for the price would expect spectacular.
