Buona Forchetta started in 2011 as a craving of Matteo’s to bring some of his native Italy to our adopted home of South Park. We found the perfect corner and built the perfect oven. Since then, we’ve strived to deliver an exceptional and authentic Italian experience to our customers keeping our focus on the simple recipes that Matteo grew up on. My experience at the restaurant was disappointing from start to finish. The wine was underwhelming, lacking any distinctive qualities. The meatballs were dry, dense, and bland, offering little flavor. The focaccia, while not made from traditional focaccia dough, was passable, but the pizza was a real letdown—soggy, overloaded with low-quality cheese, and generally unpleasant to eat. Overall, the meal was a disaster. This is definitely not a place for a date or for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed meal. The seating was uncomfortable, with hard metal chairs, and the service was disorganized. Instead of serving courses in sequence, everything arrived at once. Despite our efforts to order an appetizer, salad, and entrée separately, the server crammed both the salad and pizza onto the table at the same time, which was far too small to accommodate everything. It made for a frustrating and unenjoyable dining experience.

We used to come here all of the time but haven’t been in about 6 months. I was craving some good Italian so we came here for date night last night. We were so disappointed in the food we had last night. My pene was under cooked and the bolognese didn’t have as much flavor. My boyfriend ordered the carbonara but there was a weird taste I only knew how to describe it as a “plastic-y” flavor. I couldn’t eat it. The service was good and the serving staff is ALWAYS very friendly which definitely made the experience better but unfortunately we were very disappointed and won’t be back anytime soon.

This is a great spot that is very well hidden in the neighborhood. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly.

We’ve been long time fans and patrons - since they opened but I think we’re done. We took guests and I was embarrassed by the crappy experience. Our waiter missed our order for artichokes to be followed by a salad and didn’t own it- too much of a hurry. Entrees were dropped- lasagna was a small portion swimming in sauce, mushroom pasta was way over salted. Absolutely zero table maintenance- no empty plates or glasses removed, red wine served dripping on the base just waiting to stain a shirt. No care at all, transactional service. I dropped $200 and though that’s not a huge bill, it’s $200 still. We left saddened that one of our favorites just isn’t anymore…

Best pizza in town. Had incredible beef cheek risotto. Artichoke appetizer is always spot on. Super efficient and kind service.

Die Pizza wer super. Teig war nah an einer echten Napoletanischen Pizza, nicht 100% aber für die USA ein Top Teig. Fettucini waren gut die Sauce war dazu auch fein. Bei den Auberginen war irgendwas schiefgegangen aber wurde dann auch nicht berechnet.

One appetizer came out with the meal. One dinner was brought out after everyone else was almost done eating. The waiter said it was because they were so busy. Two people ordered the risotto special and one meal was undercooked and the other overcooked and crunchy. The waiter never came back after delivering the meals to ask if everything was ok. Not a good experience.
