Restaurant owner Carlos Centurion’s newest Bulla (boo-ya) Gastrobar location in SouthPark at 4310 Sharon Rd., Suite W01. Bulla Gastrobar joins the Charlotte community with a contemporary spin on traditional Spanish tapas, an imaginative cocktail program, and an energetic atmosphere with extensive indoor and outdoor seating.

Named after the Spanish slang term for “chatter,” Bulla Gastrobar offers a menu that boasts a mix of “alta cocina” and traditional approaches to tapas, featuring innovative techniques that are applied to classic recipes to yield modern yet authentic dishes.

    So, we went to this restaurant for the first time, and it was kinda tough to order since we didn't know what to get. Plus, one of our friends has a lot of food restrictions, so that made it even harder. The portions were smaller than we thought for the four of us, and I thought the server was annoyed with us. I kept apologizing for not knowing what to order, and when I asked for recommendations, she didn't really help. We had to keep calling her over, and she even walked away in the middle of one of our orders. The food was okay, but not what we were expecting. I was a bit disappointed when we left. But I still think it's worth trying the restaurant for the experience.

    No problems with reservation or finding a place to park. Food and service, however, are disappointing. Hostesses are good, friendly, and fun, but our waitress barely spoke English and looked like she'd rather be somewhere else (which I get, work and all, but at least *try*). Wait times are horrible — I'm not supposed to wait for 15 minutes to be brought water in a relatively not busy hour. Also, half an hour for two appetizers? That's just not serious. Ham Croquettes were perfect, the rest of the dishes are either okay or disappointing. Tuna tartare is too oily, Huevos Bulla are just fried eggs on potato chips (?), their seasonal Mushroom Croquettes are just meh, tasting like fried balls of pure blue cheese. Pork skewers were burnt to the point of non-consumption. At least mocktails were good. Also, the location constantly misses some ingredients — if you come here, expect to not get everything you want. Overall, a disappointment. Bulla was my favorite place a couple of years ago. Will not be coming back.

    Great overall experience. Patio was great with the fountain nearby. Service was fantastic. Food was excellent. Not sure why it took so long to try this place but we’ll definitely be back!

    As always amazing food, drinks and service. Our server Tyler was very nice and the manager very attentive. Very nice experience.

    It was one of the worse experiences ever. We waited for about an hour for our food, then when the meat came it was over cooked. We never got refills on water. Simply terrible

    We just moved here from Miami and used to frequent the Bulla in Coral gables. This was such a great way to get transported back to our hometown. The food, the service and the atmosphere was excellent just like in Miami, the only thing missing was the lively ambience that the Miami location brings. Other than that, it was almost the same. Thank you to Delilah for the extra mile to make our anniversary special
