Welcome to Bugis Kitchen, where we pay homage to the legendary hawker stands on Singapore's Bugis Street.

Bugis Street's history dates back to the early 19th
century when it was primarily a residential area
inhabited by the Bugis people, seafaring traders from
the Indonesian island of Sulawesi. The Bugis were
known for their maritime skills and played a significant
role in trade across Southeast Asia.
Today, Bugis Street continues to thrive as a dynamic
shopping and entertainment district in Singapore. It is
home to modern malls. boutiques, restaurants, and
bars, offering a mix of traditional and contemporary
experiences. The area has retained it cultural charm
while embracing urbanisation and modernity.

                                                      I was so excited to see this restaurant offering Singaporean classics, especially my favourite, Hainanese Chicken Rice. It was as good as a hawker-style chicken rice. Even my husband loves it. The Singapore Sling is also very good, should have been listed more forward in the menu so that it’s more visible. We enjoyed our dining experience here, will definitely be back!

                                                      Overall lovely evening! My meal was very tasty (chicken curry) but I didn’t like a chunk of chicken on the bone in the curry sauce with a chicken leg. It was difficult to remove and then cut up and put back in. Also there was hardly any meat on it. My husband’s meal was very good (Laksa) Good service, nice ambiance.

                                                      The food was very good but the service wasn't. It took a long time for my drink order to arrive. Other tables ordered drinks after me, but received them before I did. I ordered the Gado-Gado as a starter. It was a large portion and it was quite good. When the server brought my main course, he did not remove my finished starter plate. In fact the empty plate remained on the table throughout the entire meal.

                                                      Excellent service from Bebe and Sandeep. The food was very good . The service from them was incomparable, Bebe even made some recommendations that were up to expectations. I felt very good in their company.

                                                      We went there for our Christmas Do but we wanted to be more intimate rather than party atmosphere. We requested a round table to suit the 8 of us which they kindly accommodated. The chef came out at the end of the meal to greet us and ask us about the food which was totally unexpected and a nice touch.

                                                      Myself and my mum had a lovely meal, the food and service in the restaurant is always 10/10, we always pop in for our favourite hot and sour soup when we stay over at the Copthorne. Looking forward to next time!
