There were a few changes to the menu. One of which was the steak and frites. In the past, it was always a strip steak. This time I believe it was a ribeye. It was chewy and somewhat tasteless. The lobster tail special seemed smaller. Good, but not as tasty as it had been previous times. So our dinner was somewhat disappointing. Chop House is one of my favorite restaurants. I could always count on having an excellent meal so I hope that will be true the next time I am there for dinner.

A quiet and intimate Thursday night at Buffalo Chophouse to celebrate my anniversary was a spectacularly organised night. We were greatly satisfied with our seating, upstairs along the balcony on a semi-private platform looking down to the bar (upon request). The service was a 500/10. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. “There’s only one chicken and salmon dish on the menu because it’s so great.” True words about both dishes, and anything else that may pertain to that statement. Our expectations were matched and even exceeded with our selection. The menu itself has a great selection, I’ve previously dined here with a large party and everyone had been very impressed with their meal, including the young ones. Great options from my experience include but are not limited to; 8oz filet mignon, seared fillet of salmon, and the lobster tails. The chef is always very accommodating if any substitutions are requested. The cocktail list has a very diverse selection, but if they aren’t to your fancy, Buffalo Chophouse also has a fully open bar.

My order of Braised Short Ribs was fantastic. It included mashed potatoes, root vegetables and two onion rings. My husband ordered steak and it comes with nothing. He ordered a separate potato. I was surprised that his plate was just the small steak. I thought they could have dressed it up just a bit with some lettuce, sliced tomato or a few onion rings. Especially since the price was so high.

What made our meal special was our outstanding service from Eli, and his assistant, David. The food was excellent. Portions were a good size, enough for leftovers! We will definitely be going again, even though it is a bit pricey. It was worth it!!
