Buena Vida promises more than great food; it provides a space to make memories. We pride ourselves in guiding customers through a curated menu, going beyond the expectations of hospitality, and leaving them to enjoy the company they are with.

Our tables are a gathering place for good conversation and community so people feel energized by the creativity of the food and drinks, excellent service, and time with loved ones.

Each table has 2h time limit. 2h time limit does not apply for reservations made after 1:00pm on Saturday and Sunday due to service closure at 3:00pm.
Rooftop seating cannot be reserved and it is only available on first come-first served basis. Unlimited dining is not available on our rooftop - a la carte menu will be offered instead. Rooftop will not be open for brunch service.
To best meet our standard, we highly recommend against the Buena Vida Experience service 1h prior to kitchen closing.

Rude customer service. The Host didn’t honor OpenTable reservation because I made it a few minutes earlier. He didn’t want to seat us even though there were several tables available that we could see. When asked he said it was for reservations so I made a reservation at OpenTable where there were available 7 available tables (according to OpenTable app). Maybe he thought we didn’t fit with the hip crowd because we were there as a family of three as opposed to hip youngster. Whatever it was, we were clearly refused from the restaurant. When we asked for the manager the waitperson said he was the manager when he clearly wasn’t. Unprofessional, rude and disrespectful all around. I have complained to the manager via email and left a message on her phone. Not a single response.

lovely twist on Mexican food. Nice presentation. Tasty. Place was quiet on a rainy night but looks like it could be really lively and noisy so depending on what you want, an experience and young vibes. Probably not a quiet night unless you go early on a weekday. Lovely waitstaff.

Had not tried this place before but really enjoyed it. The tacos are very well done and we had the chicken nachos as well. Very tasty. Service was perfect - very attentive. It was very quiet but our visit was midday on a weekday. We will go back to check out the weekend brunch - location and rooftop area look interesting.

The perfect place for a "haven't-seen-you-in-ages" get-together. Taco Tuesday was the perfect casual, not expensive venue. We especially enjoyed the fish tacos. Margaritas were good too! Thank you, Laura, for the excellent service.

This is not a good place to go if you have food allergies. I’ve been to this restaurant four times and appreciate the rooftop bar and the nice interior. Their guacamole is great as are their drinks. I have several food, allergies. Two of the four times I’ve been there the chef was able to cook something for me. He even came out to speak to me and what he created was simple and delicious. On one occasion, even though they were notified of my allergies, they cooked something with a food I’m allergic to which I didn’t find out until after I started eating it. It’s a mistake and that can happen anywhere, but this last time that I went back, the chef just said they would not cook anything for me at all. I asked if they could just make a salad with some simple grilled shrimp which was on the menu, but they turned me down and just flat out refused and said there was nothing they could do for me. So we had to leave which was very frustrating and embarrassing. We went to circa instead which is nearby and the contrast was very apparent – they handled my allergies without batting an eye and made a beautiful meal for me. They also made me feel that it was not at all the slightest inconvenience and that felt very nice.

Was not impressed. I walked in for a lunch reservation and there were (at 1:30pm, when they knew someone was coming) cardboard boxes in various states of deconstruction all over the floor, tables, bar. Loud noises like they were doing construction. Took 5 min for someone to come to the host stand to seat me. They had problems answering basic questions about what was and was not in the food, for my guest who was trying to avoid allergens. She was ultimately told that her allergens were NOT in the food, only to then get something she couldn't eat. The other food was mediocre at best, and for these prices (28 bucks for an enchilada! 26 for fajitas!) that's not OK. I will not return.

My girls and I visited BV for brunch. The food came out very slowly and sometimes we had to ask multiple times about our dishes. The carafe of Pineapple Hibiscus mimosa was delicious and the highlight of the brunch. The margaritas were good as well. The mango margarita was a bit sweet and the tequila was mild. When we did get our dishes, our favs were the chorizo hash with the egg fried, the steak and cheese torta, and the Nutella waffle with the banana sauce on the side.

Every dish was amazing. Their spin on Mexican street corn was dope and delicious, my friends and I each ordered different tacos, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. The margaritas were delicious. I cannot wait to try other items on the menu.
