Disappointed Experience Under New Ownership I’ve always enjoyed dining here, but this recent visit left me disappointed: 1.They no longer accept gift cards under the new ownership. 2.Service was slow, our waiter took a long time to arrive. 3.After waiting 20 minutes for our entrées, the waiter informed us that one of the items we ordered was unavailable. 4.The entrées were brought out one at a time instead of together. 5.Unfortunately, the food quality was poor compared to past visits. On a positive note, they did waive the cost of one entrée and a dessert, which was appreciated. Hoping this was just an off day, as I used to really enjoy their food and service.

It took 10 minutes to be acknowledged and seated although we had a reservation and it was not crowded. Service was slow. We had to ask for bread and our drinks did not come until the bread came out. The stuffed shells were dried out and the meatballs were burnt.

Service was not ideal. Waiter only came our table a total of 4 times and this includes bringing us our bill. However, food quality was decent.

The server who was also the bar man for the night was completely unattended. My husband never got a refill of his sweet tea. The rum punch that I ordered was incredibly weak. The garlic bread didn’t arrive until after we had finished eating our dinner, and was burnt with hardly any garlic. The main horse meal was pretty dang good.

We had a reservation for 12. We waited at least 45 minutes for them to seat us. As we were waiting there was another party of 40. So they took a while. As we were ordering, we really wanted to get pizza, but they said the oven broke. We went there for the pizza and spaghetti but said there’s nothing they can do, so the manager gave us coupons for next time. Well, We ordered breadsticks and you need an oven to cook that but somehow we got breadsticks. Service still slow, and we overhear that the pizzas are not ready yet. We’re seated right next to the kitchen so we can see what they are doing. The real reason why they couldn’t give us pizzas was because of the party of 40, so it would’ve been better if they just told us the truth. Anyway, that was our experience at this bucca de peppo.

It was Christmas Day, we had 7 in my party, 4 children under 10 and 3 adults. The restaurant appeared to be short staff, understandably as it was Christmas. The service was VERY slow, and with 4 young children in our group that created an issue. They had no pizza as they said the pizza oven was broken, and had no children cups for beverages. Food served was Luke warm. Had to search for waiter several times when we needed things

We love coming to this restaurant and always have a good time. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed, and our poor server was doing double duty having to also tend to the bar. He along with the bus person really worked hard to take care of us. There was a large backup of dining out orders, which affected the performance in the kitchen and delivering food on time. Our appetizers and bread were served at the same time as our meal.

This was the worst Christmas dining experience our family has had. We were all together so that was the upside but the restaurant experience was bad. Buca is family style so waiting over an hour and a half after you order to receive your meal is ridiculous. One in our party ordered a pizza, 35 minutes after the order was placed she was told, we can not make your pizza, the oven broke. 35 minutes after it was ordered? The service was so bad, nobody checked after we ordered so we were just wondering where the food was. The manager who was there said oh well, baked food takes longer, seriously an hour and a half? Needless to say Buca has been removed as a just in case we have to have a holiday out in the future.

Chicken was dry and overcooked. Spaghetti with Meatballs was served well after chicken dish was served. No bread until more than halfway thru meal. Quality of food has gone done, but the prices keep going up. Very disappointed, not likely to return.
