For authentic and taste bud-tantalizing Italian meals, head to Bruno's Italian Cuisine in Livermore for the freshest fare served in its warm and welcoming restaurant. The crispy garlic cheese bread and the Portuguese style clams sautéed with garlic, tomatoes and Cajun sausage in white wine sauce make sensational starters. Some of Bruno's Italian Cuisine specialty entrées include the blackberries and brandy chicken breast baked with ginger and parmesan in a brown sugar crust, the main street crab cakes with red pepper aioli and creamy artichoke risotto and the tortellini alla Pisa with prosciutto, mushrooms and onions in a garlic cream sauce, all of which are made fresh to order.

Wonderful outdoor seating. Weather was perfect. Fabrizio took great cate if us making sure we always had what we needed. I had the Jambalaya which was delicious. We will be back soon.

This was our second time eating at Bruno's before attending a show at the Bankhead Theater. The food was excellent, as before, and the service was prompt, allowing plenty of time to reach the theater. The portions are generous and my companion took almost half of her dinner with us. The theater allowed us to leave this at the office and pick it up after the show. (This has nothing to do with Bruno's, per se, but made taking food with us easier.

I chose to have my birthday lunch here because I wanted some linguine with clams and I used to love it here. Unfortunately, they changed their recipe because this time it had no flavor; I added salt and pepper, Parmesan, more salt then some chili flakes, then gave up. There were four of us and no one was impressed with their meal. We had a couple of appetizers as well that were okay. If I’m going to pay $28 for a pasta dish, I expect it to be fantastic! I’ll head over to Melo’s next time, food is better and parking is so much easier.

Our entrees were Linguine Frutti Di Mare (Tiger prawns, scallops, clams and fish of the day sautéed with onion, garlic, fresh tomatoes in a white wine marinara sauce.), Veal Piccata (Tender veal sautéed with garlic, capers, in a white wine lemon juice sauce. Served with potatoes and vegetables), and Salmon Carciofi Grilled salmon with sautéed artichoke hearts, garlic, fresh tomatoes and lemon juice with a white wine sauce. Served with potatoes and vegetables.). Our bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from Murrieta's Well complemented each of these dishes. For dessert we had tiramisu. All were excellent and the service was very attentive.
