Brock Street’s 3rd Floor Lounge setting is designed as a prohibition style, members’ lounge and cocktail bar. Here you can enjoy craft beer, handcrafted cocktails, and spirits, designed and produced by Brock Street Brewing and Distilling Company. Only Light Fare is offered at present. For main floor full service restaurant bookings please visit 12welvebistro.ca. Brock Street was founded by four best friends with a goal of helping to revitalize downtown Whitby, a place they all call home. The Brock Street building is a newly constructed building that opened in 2019. It was built to the historical standards of 1800’s locally inspired architecture and is complete with numerous historical artifacts including horse hitch rings, antique lighting, and reclaimed brick throughout. The building contains a main floor restaurant, 12welve Bistro, a 2nd floor banquet hall, and the 3rd floor, which is home to Whitby’s only rooftop patio.

    I had a review for the rooftop patio only to arrive and be told it was closed for a private wedding. The reservation was open for time slot that didn't exist. Be careful when making a reservation, particularly on a weekend.

    This is only a bar with shareable food options like small plates of appetizers they don’t have a full menu. It’s on the 3rd floor of the building with amazing ambiance.

    Disappointed we scheduled our Father’s Day dinner here for 5:30 on the app. got our confirmation email and reminders. Showed up only to find that they were closed and one of the servers said sorry but we close early on Sundays. Pretty upsetting as we were all excited to enjoy a sunny dinner on the patio up top. Our dinner plans got ruined.

    Thank you for your honest feedback and our sincere apologies for this unfortunate misunderstanding. The 3rd floor lounge and rooftop patio is separately owned and operated from 12welve Bistro, the first floor restaurant. We operate as a drink/cocktail lounge without food service. Our hours are 1-6pm on Sundays. From your feedback, it sounds like you may have been looking to book the restaurant for dinner that day. We do outline this in our Open Table bio. "Brock Street’s 3rd Floor Lounge setting is designed as a prohibition style, members’ lounge and cocktail bar... For main floor full service restaurant bookings please visit 12welvebistro.ca." We are truly sorry that you had this experience and would welcome you and your family back to the 3rd floor for a drink on us anytime.

    Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, good vibes, lots of fun. Food is limited, could use more selection in terms if snacks but overall a great experience!

    We always have a fantastic night at Brock Street. The band was amazing and the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.

    I've been to Brock St. Brewery twice and both times the staff have been extremely friendly and the trivia has been great fun. However, there is no consistency in the food being offered at Trivia night. The first time there was pizza (four kinds) and as such I was able to have a nice dinner to go with trivia. The second time expecting something on an equal level there was a hummus board/chips and dip. That was it. I spent the whole night hungry. When I asked if I could order from downstairs and bring it up I was told that there are different owners for each floor. Just a thought but how about working out a deal with each other so your patrons don't show up hungry and leave hungry because they didn't eat beforehand. Below this window it is asking me if I'd recommend Brock Street to anyone. The answer is yes because everything else was good but guys please fix this glaring issue. I invited a table of 8 and it was embarrassing for me when everyone was expecting food to be available. Perhaps you should put it on Open Table what the menu is for the evening in big red letters so that this doesn't happen to others. -local within walking distance
